Charming studio, plenty big for two. Comfortable bed. Kitchen with just enough to prepare dinners. Great set up for skiing as the bus is just 1/4 block down the street. Highly recommend
Loved returning to this comfortable condo! Location is so convenient to Deer Valley and Park City. I soaked in the huge, hot outdoor hot tub every night and talked to some nice people. Peace and quiet, comfortable bed with crisp sheets, ensured I slept very well. Thanks again Kevin!
i have stayed here many times. And its just as good, if not better, than the first time i stayed there . Not only is the unit nice (i love the fireplace heater unit as does a great job heating the unit plus its so quiet compared to the heaters in most of the units at the prospector) but there is a bus stop right outside the unit so you can get everywhere in town highly recommend staying here.
Exactly, as described, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, parking, laundry accessible! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Stayed nearly 5 weeks - would totally recommend it!
We came for a weekend of snowboarding and the location couldn’t have been better with easy access to bus line, restaurants, lifts.
The concierge checkin was convenient and we enjoyed the hot tub on property.
We would stay again.
The common spaces are really plain but the room itself is cozy and comfortable. We arrived during some heavy road construction which made coming and going fairly difficult, but we spent much of our time elsewhere. We were quite pleased with the stay overall, but some minor annoyances: the lights in the bathroom flicker, the iron doesn't hold water for steaming, and we would have appreciated more coffee pods... As I said MINOR! Don't hesitate to book this spot!
Everything was really great except the pullout sofa was not comfortable enough to sleep on. My son ended up sleeping on the couch, which was comfortable but if you have more than person trying to sleep on it, I would not recommend it since two can't really sleep on the couch. Other than that, it was a good stay and convenient to everything. The hot tub was easy to get to across the parking lot and the owner was nice to bring us some needed essentials and responded to questions in a somewhat timely manner and was very friendly. Overall, would recommend highly.
Fantastic studio condo. Close to everything. The jacuzzi was nice after a long day of skiing and the condo is clean and inviting. The bus stops right in front of main lobby which is convenient for getting to the slopes. FYI, park city now requires reservations as well as $25.00 daily rate to park your car so take the bus.

Second time here!
My boyfriend and I once again rented this property this winter. This is an amazing property, absolutely perfect. I am not sure what more I can say from my other review. The hallways of the property are pretty bland, but the unit itself is wonderful! Fireplace, comfortable couch and bed, and a remodeled kitchen. The bathroom was very nice as well. We cooked breakfast every morning and dined out the rest of the time. It is only about a 15 second walk from the outside entrance to the outdoor hot-tub, a plus when it is freezing outside! It is on the first floor, so easy to get your luggage in. There is the free bus loop that takes you to main street and some of the resorts, the stop is right outside the main entrance as well. The owners are available easily if there are any issues. This is a great spot for a couples retreat! I can't wait to stay there again next winter!
I have always stayed at the Prospector when I come to Park City (30 plus years) and in my view, this is the best unit to stay in at the Prospector. Its my first and only choice when I visit Park City.
I had stayed in this unit several times in the late 2010’s and then it wasn’t available one year I had to try another , then Covid hit and I did not go to Park City again until this year. Fortunately, the unit was available and I was able to stay there again.
The host really takes care of this unit and tries to plans ahead for every possible need of the guest (including some books, games, all the kitchen stuff you would need ..and a few items stocked in the cupboard in case you forgot something…as I did forgetting to pick up sugar at the market).
The kitchen is fully appointed, the bathroom was recently redone (now has a nice big walk in shower) and some time ago they replaced that old, noisy, wall furnace that all the units were built with , with a fireplace type heater…which is quiet, looks nice, and works great. And most importantly, and nice comfy bed and pillows.
The unit also faces in towards the building next door, as opposed to facing the street, so the unit is very quite.
The host is also very responsive and always looking for suggestions on anything they can improve on.
I just cannot say enough about the host and the unit.

Well Renovated but Ill-Maintained
It was a well renovated place, but still ill-maintained with quite a few problems:
1. There was half a roll of toilet paper and no more
2. The kitchenware was extremely worn. Plus, one of the pans handles came loose and fell off in the middle of using it
3. Silverware for two people, glassware anywhere from 1-4 people
3. There was no sponge given to wash the dishes, yet a fee would be charged if we did not clean up after ourselves
4. The kitchen faucet was broken and rattled a lot when turned on
5. The remote control for the tv had dead batteries and the buttons on the tv were unreachable by hands
6. On the day of checkout, there was a knock on the door at 9am, waking us up and using a key to open the door asking if we had checked out yet. Checkout time was 11am according to the agreement,
Overall, not such a great experience with the many problems, especially for the price. I only give it 2 stars instead of one because the owner was nice and responsive.
Property was filthy. Owner offered solution and then breached agreement.
Previous guest’s used soap in the shower, enormous hairball on furniture, and long strands of hair in the bed. When I finally got ahold of the host after reaching out several times, he was apologetic and offered to either send a cleaning service or to refund my entire stay. I chose the full refund. He advised me to cancel the reservation and we parted ways amicably. Unbeknownst to me, a guest cannot cancel a VRBO reservation. VRBO tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with him to explain the cancellation process. When an agent finally made contact, he abruptly breached our written agreement, offering only a partial refund. If he had offered this initially, I would have opted for the cleaner instead. The owner then sent me several condescending messages minimizing the filth in the unit, berating me for following VRBO’s instructions, calling my credibility into question, even accusing me of scattering my own hair in the bed. While I have no doubt this situation was extremely aggravating for him, having spent countless hours trying to resolve this during a once-in-a-lifetime event, plus an additional four months rectifying this through my bank, I can relate. My horrible experience was a direct result of the host’s negligence in responding to VRBO’s multiple attempts at communication, a lack of understanding about the rental platform, and his own failure to cancel the reservation in a timely manner. And yet, I was the one penalized. Steer clear of this property.
We have lived in Park City full-time for 11 years and lived in Utah for 25. We love it here and are excited to share Park City with you! Just ask us for dining, skiing, or sightseeing recommendations.
Why they chose this property
The Prospector is simply one of the best locations in Park City! Close to everything, on the bus route, dining and shopping in the neighborhood....it's perfect for vacations. And since we are Sundance Film Festival lovers, this was perfect. We were introduced to this property while attending film screenings held on-site.
