Getting Around:
Encompassing 2.2 miles, the Savannah Historic District is compact and easy to navigate whether by foot or by wheel. To visit Savannah like a local, consider walking, bicycling or taking a pedicab around the district, which ranges from River to Gaston streets and East Broad Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
1- Bike!
A fun and active approach to enjoy Forsyth Park is on two wheels. It's an easy way to see the entire park, meet people, squeeze in some exercise and a perfect excuse to ditch your car. Remain conscious of the city's ordinance on prohibited bike trails.
2- DOT Downton Free Trolley:
It's FREE and is one of the most popular ways to get around the historic district of Savannah and see the sites. The DOT is a fare-free service to help visitors and residents get around downtown Savannah. Included in the system are shuttles serving 18 stops in the Historic District and the Savannah Belles Ferry. Use the free shuttle from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mon.-Fri.; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays; and 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on holidays (excludes Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day.)
3- Pedicab: They are usually pedicabs waiting closer to Bay street. Further back (past Liberty) you may have to call to page one. Savannah pedicabs also offers little tours of the city, with the cyclist giving commentary. It's a great way to get around the city, especially if you've been walking and are tired.
4- Savannah Belles Ferry:
Monday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Service to Waving Girl Landing ends at 6:00 p.m.)
Connects downtown with Hutchinson Island and the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center
Modern passenger-only ferries are reminiscent of vessels seen in the harbor a century ago.
Named for Savannah’s Belles, strong women who shaped the city’s history.
ADA-Accessible
Pet Policy – Service animals, pets in carriers and non-aggressive dogs on leashes are permitted on the Ferries.
Water ferry service may be interrupted without notice due to inclement weather and/or other river traffic.
The home is equipped with both front door and backyard cameras for added security.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re so happy to hear the home worked well for your family and that everyone had their own space to relax and enjoy. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and Sammy will be especially happy to hear your kind words. We’d love to welcome you and your family back anytime!
The place was overall surprisingly nice and large space for our party. It was perfect for gathering together and maintaining privacy when wanted. It’s located a little south of things which is nice but need a vehicle or uber up to where all the trollies and activities are. Quiet at night but note only get three parking spots but next door is a lot parking to pay for 24 hour parking - plan accordingly. Overall we would stay again when visiting this city.
