The Bird House - a family-friendly cottage in Katoomba

Country style cottage situated in a tranquil part of South Katoomba. Be at home in the rustic western red cedar interiors and exposed beams for that romantic mountain lodge feeling.
This three bedroom cottage is split over two levels and is equally suited to families, couples and small groups. The main level has two bedrooms, open plan living, dining and kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Ducted gas heating throughout. Upstairs you will find a spacious third bedroom/playroom with toys and a second television to keep the kids busy.

Celebrate the great outdoors and explore the English-style cottage garden, beautiful in every season. Birdwatchers can delight in the abundance of King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, Cockatoos and other bird life in the area - attract them to the backyard with the native bird feeders and watch them up close! Relax in the backyard in the warmer months and cook up an Aussie storm on the BBQ.
Take a stroll through the bush behind the property, down to pond to feed the ducks or take bikes down the old Catalina Raceway for the kids to race around the track.

Just a short walk down the hill, the Katoomba Aquatic Centre has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym and a large children's play centre.

The cottage is a short drive to iconic destinations; the Three Sisters at Echo Point, Katoomba Falls and Scenic World; and a few minutes drive to Katoomba supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Our stay at the bird house was truly delightful! It lived up to its name with a variety of wildbirds visiting the back yard whenever we put seed out (seed is provided). The kitchen was fully equipped and the pantry was even stocked with some essentials. Bedrooms were all lovely and comfy, and the whole house was spotless. Very conveniently located, near Echo Point, Katoomba shops and pool. We would love to return for another, longer stay.
