Great location! Right up on the ocean and very close to where I needed to be in town. Very affordable for what it was.It was slightly challenging to find, but I did arrive when it was dark and the GPS took me to the wrong building. There were plenty of instructions and directions provided by the host that helped me figure out where to go. The space I stayed in was a third floor, I don’t mind stairs at all, but the foundation of the building was skewed making the floor uneven throughout. Clean kitchen with utensils and basic cooking supplies. Bathroom was clean and stocked with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. they even had a special towel for the dog and a roll of poop bags provided!Mostly quiet, I wasn’t bothered by anyone. The only real issue was parking over the weekend when it was busy. It fills up fast and the lots are tight! Overall 8.7/10

We appreciate your thoughtful feedback. Staying right beside the ocean offers a special way to experience the coast, and we’re glad the home’s location and practical touches suited your visit. Arrival after dark can make finding the right building less intuitive, so we’ll keep your note in mind as we consider ways to make arrival guidance clearer. Parking is limited when the area is busy, and your perspective will help future guests plan ahead.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was very dirty, sticky counters and crumbs all over couch, sandy floors. When I moved a night stand slightly to plug in a charger I could see crumbs and dirt and an actual apple slice under the bed.
I do not feel like the room was cleaned before arrival.
The location was great!
Thanks for choosing Seal - Upper and for the five-star rating. We’re glad you spent time on the Central Oregon Coast with us and hope the setting offered a restful break. If there’s anything we can do to make a future stay even better, please let us know — we want the home to feel just right for your next visit. We’d be happy to welcome you back.
It is a nice small studio, immediately next to 101 (a little noisy), and at least 5-10 minutes walk to the beach (down and up a steep hill, so not good for people with limited physical abilities). It is very close to a public beach and small shops, coffee place and restaurants. The studio does have a full kitchen and excellent amount of coffee, but nothing else (hotel style), so bring your salt and oil if you plan to cook. WiFi, showers, bed - all are wonderful! They are really very dog friendly!
Good communication. Clean room. Easy to find. Close to a lot of fun things. I liked the kitchenette. Annnnnd.. that's it.There was glass in the parking lot from someone else's broken car window. The listing said there was a leather couch. They misspelled hard, uncomfortable cloth futon. The TV screen was broken. But if you want to watch the broken TV, there's nowhere comfortable to do it. There's just the very small uncomfortable futon. The smoke alarm went off randomly in the middle night. There's no air conditioning. You could open the windows and get a nice breeze, but there are no screens. Just a large two story drop that lets bugs in.The toilet handle sticks and runs, the bathroom lights are rusted and falling down. The towels were stained.I should probably stop there. There are much better places for less around here.
The entire place, all 3 rooms are very slanted. Like one side of the building has sunk about 6 to 8 inches. Extremely dirty and broken (literal pieces missing) floors. Dead bugs everywhere , especially in the 2 flights of stairs up to the room. During the 5 days spent there, (we left one day early), I was never able to find anyone in the office. The final jewel in this crown of disappointment was while checking under the bed to make sure we didn’t accidentally leave something behind, seeing all the dirt , hair , dead bugs and the package of silicone lubricant under the bed. Beyond disgusting! Slanted floors is one thing, but IMHO, I don’t think the room has been properly cleaned in months.
I will be looking elsewhere if I ever visit Lincoln City again

Jeff, thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry the condition and cleanliness of the property fell so far short of expectations, particularly the slanted floors, damaged flooring, and accumulation of debris and dead insects you encountered. We’re also sorry we weren’t made aware of these conditions during your stay, as we would have appreciated the opportunity to assist while you were with us. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cleanliness beneath the bed and the difficulty reaching someone on site, and will share these details with our local team for follow-up. Thank you again for bringing this experience to our attention and helping us identify where the property and guest support need greater attention.
Thanks so much for the great rating. We're glad Seal - Upper provided a peaceful spot for your time on the coast. We design the home so guests can relax, take in the views, and easily enjoy nearby sights, so it’s rewarding to hear it worked for you. We hope to welcome you back to the coast in the future.
I liked the location since it was close to the beach. Another nice part is that housekeeping staff replaces a towel. However, their office is always closed, but you can request through expedia message. Plus, this place needs a window screen. There is no A/C in a room so you need to open the windows. Trash cans outside the building needs a lid since crows keep attacking the trash can and making a mess.
