About this property

Two Blocks To Everything, too Cute to Miss. Perfect romantic getaway for two.


We are completely booked for the 2026 season. Thanks to all our repeating renters and to the new friends we will be hosting this year.


We are a Vrbo “Premier Host". This means a quick response, COVID procedure followed, and excellent post-stay reviews from renters. Max occupancy is 2, but we allow a third person with an additional fee of $200.
Exciting news for our renters. We've replaced the living room sofa with a brand new leather Barcalounger sofa with two reclining sections. Now you can lay back and enjoy the new 43" TV that has built-in Roku and includes free HBOMax, Hulu, and Peacock streaming services. Bring your passwords to use and watch Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+, and Prime. See the pictures I've updated to show these improvements. Just added for the 2022 season is a new coffee station that will brew a 12-cup pot or a single K-Cup of your favorite flavor from home.

We enforce a strict non-smoking policy on the premises, including the lawn area. Failure to comply can cause you to be asked to leave and loss of rental payment.
The cottage is located just two blocks from Rehoboth Ave and 2 1/2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk in South Rehoboth.. Close to everything, yet located in a quiet backyard setting. Set back from the main house with its' own parking for two cars. Master has a queen bed and the loft (must pass through this to get into Master) has a double bed. Enclosed porch with view of bamboo forest just outside. The bathroom (downstairs) has a shower only. Pets are allowed (we love ours too) with an additional $200 non-refundable payment. Please let me know when you book. Payment can be made at time of arrival. If you have more than one dog, we need to talk before you book.
Extended cable package and wireless Wifi included. 43' flatscreen with Ruko streaming downstairs and 32'upstairstairs. Both with DVD players and DVD library.
New in 2018, a newly remodeled kitchen with modern cabinets, granite countertops, a new refrigerator, and new flooring throughout the first floor.
Note: there is no dishwasher, garbage disposal, or washer/dryer. We are a classic beach cottage in that respect. There is a laundromat nearby.
The outside area has 2 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, an enclosed shower with H&C water, clothesline, bike rack, and gas grill.
We also have a valid rental license from that City, which means we have been inspected for safety, cleanliness, and taxes paid. When you book you will see additional charges that every Vrbo rental has: taxes (4.5% for state), Vrbo fees, and host fees (in our case a cleaning fee of $75 and a city short term rental tax of $75.)

The house was neat & clean. There were no issues with any appliance. Steve and Sandy were gracious hosts. In the 30 years that my wife and I have been coming to Rehoboth Beach, this place is by far the best we have stayed at.

Cozy house steps from the heart of Rehoboth Beach

We were very happy with our VRBO rental. The cottage is a historic structure built in 1930. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. There is a private yard, too. The hosts, Steve and Sandy, were very kind, courteous and accommodating.

You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this property. It is such a cute cottage. Very clean & comfortable. The owners are very kind & helpful. The only downfall of this property are the steep steps to the upstairs.

Wonderful location, great place, photos do not do it justice

My wife and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great stay although the weather was pretty terrible. The hosts were very friendly and helpful (we were looking for happy hour and dinner recs) and the location is amazing. Short walk to the beach, easy access to shops and restaurants. No wonder this place books up fast. Hope to come back again some time!

A Hidden Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is the perfect size for two people. Steve made sure we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations as well. The cottage was tucked away behind the main house. It was quiet, comfortable, private and clean. The location was close to the beach, dining and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

A true getaway!

We have stayed here for many years. It is truly our "Happy Place". Steve and Sandy are awesome hosts and available if you need anything. The cottage has everything you need and is always clean and feels like home. We can park our car for a week and walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and community theater. Hands down the place for a relaxing vacation!

This is a cute place in good location. Price is very reasonable. Hosts are accommodating and pleasant. That said, if you are older like us, this may not work for you as only bathroom is on main floor while bedroom is up a steep and narrow set of stairs.

Perfect Stay

My husband, 8 month old son, and 8 year old dog were so happy with this little cottage. We were so comfortable here and had everything we needed. We loved our walks to the beach in the morning, as well as the morning walks with the dog. Steve was very helpful and communicative, but were respectful of our privacy and let us be. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cottage.

Wonderful getaway!

This property is even better than the pictures! The owners are honest, reachable and treat the cottage as an extension of their personal home. Nice vacation

Cottage is small but had a cozy feel. Backyard is beautiful and was nice to lounge around after coming off the beach. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need. Parking for 2 vehicles, which was great. Location was perfect. Just a few short blocks off the beach and very close to downtown Rehoboth restaurants and shops. Having a place that allowed pets was also a huge plus. Hosts were very communicative.

GREAT Cottage!

This was the perfect spot for a long Easter weekend getaway for myself, my wife and our dog. The cottage was very clean, spacious enough for us and looked even better in person than in the pictures. The owners are very nice and helpful, check in/out procedure is easy. Good location in town, can park your car in the driveway and walk/bike everywhere after that. The owner even has a bike rack to keep your bikes locked up and safe. We will be returning for a week in July and cannot wait!

Wonderful Beach Cottage!

We had a great stay at Steve’s beach cottage! The location was wonderful - 2 blocks to everything is true! An easy walk to the beach and the cart Steve provides made that walk a piece of cake. Great restaurants in walking distance. The cottage was comfy and well maintained. I loved the vanity in the main bedroom, and the door provides privacy for a third guest. Our pups were happy campers and it was great we could bring the dogs. Great communication with Steve and Bonnie. Would love to stay again!

We stayed in the cottage every weekend for close to 20 years until we remodeled the front house and now live there permanently. Always loved the location. The cottage has had many upgrades over the last few years, including a new kitchen and downstairs flooring.
