Luxury boutique cottage with hot tub set on Yorkshire Moors
Ash House Cottage was restored in 2016 after serving as a farming family's home for over 75 years. Sat on greenbelt land adjoining both Baildon and Ilkley Moors, the cottage is set in 12 acres of private grazing land with scenic walks, local pubs and Baildon village on its doorstep. Our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage comes with its own walled garden, views across the valley to Leeds and nearby Ilkley and is the perfect locations for those wanting a peaceful escape in the countryside. We restored Ash House Cottage to a high standard, The cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with two ovens, a boot room utility and downstairs toilet. The ground floor also comprises of two lounges and a dining area equipped with a piano! Underfloor heating downstairs and cast iron radiators upstairs ensure the cottage is always toasty warm, and the two log burning stoves act as an un-necessary but compelling way to add to the cosiness! We have worked hard to ensure our cottage is of the highest standard throughout.

Wonderful comfortable cottage - perfect for 6 adults to celebrate a special birthday. Had everything we needed. House is beautifully restored and furnished. Loved the hot tub and the location was perfect. Very happy dogs too
What can you say - wonderful location, brilliant house (was tempted to try and bring the beds home as they were excellent) and a haven of peace and beauty. wifi was a bit dodgy but that may have just been sky! Excellent all round.

Thanks so much Stephen for staying with us and thanks for not taking the beds with you! Hope to see you again. Sonia and Matt.
Absolutely brilliant few days away with our grandchildren and granddog.
House was spotlessly clean, comfy beds, towels galore, fab hot tub and a cupboard full of games and toys.
Yesterday’s sighting of a pair of barnowls rounded off a brilliant holiday.
Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Thank you from us all.
We wanted somewhere quiet & in the countryside to meet & celebrate the ladies 70th birthdays. We all lived & worked in Yorkshire after college & eventually all went our separate ways.
Some pleasant areas to walk in & of course some decent pubs.
Another addition to many Yorkshire memories.
If you’re hesitating in booking Ash House Cottage for any reason, definitely book it! We had an amazing stay celebrating a special birthday, the cottage is even more lovely in person than in the pictures. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside from every bedroom window. We loved the many beautiful walks you could take across the moor from the doorstep, perfect for our dog as he could be off-lead the whole way. Sonia was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed - thank you for having us and for the lovely welcome hamper! Would recommend to anyone ☺️

You are so welcome! Thanks so much for choosing us. Sonia & Matt
Sonia and Matt's property is up a public bridlepath and while the drive up can be a little 'hold your breath qnd hope you don't me a car coming the opposite direction [we never did!!]), the property is more than worth it. We fell in love with it and came back early from our day's travel just to sit out in the yard and enjoy the location. Definitely recommend!!!
We booked the cottage for a multi generational family stay for a Wedding.
The cottage is perfectly equipped and so thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and decorated.
The location was so peaceful with stunning views.
Would highly recommend a stay and would love the opportunity to return.
Enjoyed our holiday. Lovely quiet location . Fabulous hot tub. Would have liked instructions for appliances etc. Dishwasher a bit erratic. Couldn't find a parasol. Contacted the owner as we had an issue with full dustbins but sadly she didn't get back to us. However we would still recommend this property to others.
The booking process was very easy, despite not receiving the check in details Sonia rectified this quickly. The property had a quality feel and was very welcoming, with a home from home feel. There was a cupboard full of family game which provided much laughter The hot tub was a bit hit and perfect to relax in after a long hike. Lots of walks and wildlife on the doorstep. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had the most wonderful family stay in this beautiful house excellently equipped and extremely comfortable. We were hosted and looked after perfectly by first class hosts . We all just had the best time ever in amazing Yorkshire. Would love to return and could highly recommend.
My two friends and I travelled from the South of England with the aim of visiting the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Saltaire and Salts Mill, and doing some walking. This was the perfect place to stay. We went to the Park on the way up and it is well worth a visit.
Saltaire and Salts Mill actually took us 2 days (we didn't realise Salts Mill is closed Monday and Tuesday) but the time was not wasted as we managed a lovely walk in the area. Bolton Abbey with its many walks is only 30 minutes away,
The accommodation is all we could have wanted and we particularly enjoyed the welcome hamper. We would definitely visit again. Thank you very much to our friendly hosts
This stunning farmhouse cottage has everything you need to have a fabulous relaxing break this includes the hot tub - ideal for relaxing weary bones after a day exploring .
The cottage is located on the moor but close enough to visit local towns . It was very clean and well equipped. We were a party of 6 adults and had plenty of space. Sonia had thought of everything and the welcome hamper was a lovely surprise.
I would definitely recommend this cottage to others - wish we could have stayed longer!
Had a great time in a very special property and will come back as soon as possible if they’ll have us.

About the host
Hosted by Sonia Whiteley-Guest
We are a Yorkshire family who always dreamed of converting a barn. Little did we know that living in a caravan and restoring a 17th century cottage would be first on the list!
We adore homes, decor and all things that make a house a home. We are very excited to be sharing Ash House Cottage with new visitors to the gorgeous Yorkshire Moors.
Why they chose this property
The cottage was lived in by the Wildman family for over 75 years, and barely touched in that time. The family farmed the land with a dairy herd, and later for beef and lamb. The cottage still has many of its original features, now lovingly wrapped around 21st century mod cons and a little touch of luxury!
