The property is beautiful and was the perfect "off the grid" getaway. The home made you feel at home. Loved walking the creek and listening to the sounds of nature. Great place to relax! Our host was very friendly and communicative and answered any questions we had.

About the host
Hosted by Sol
For years, our family lived the fast-paced life of Chicago, but the constant hustle left us searching for something more: a better work-life balance and a deeper connection to nature. Five years ago, we made a major change, moving to Missouri and instantly falling in love with the abundant greenery and dramatic landscapes of the Ozarks.
Our roots run deep in the Dominican Republic, an island paradise where the culture is built around community and the land is rich with diverse climates—from vibrant beaches to misty mountains and lush forests.
Why they chose this property
In Missouri, we were on a mission to find a piece of land that felt as rich in nature as our home country. We wanted a place where we could genuinely slow down and breathe. That search led us to this beautiful, 42-acre parcel nestled in the Mark Twain National Forest, and to our first Bohío (boh-ee-oh).
What makes this property unique
This cabin is not just a rental; it's the beginning of a family business dedicated to sharing the peace and natural beauty we've found here.
