About this property

Steamboat Ski Getaway—epic views! Walk to the gondola! Covered parking! Hot tub!

Ridgecrest 205 is all about comfort, from the moment you park your car in the dedicated covered parking space (you’re on vacation, don’t deal with brushing your car off!) Store your skis in the storage locker, then head up to your temporary home-away-from-home.

Once you enter the condo, you’ll notice what sets this place apart — basically a wall-to-wall view of the slopes from the living room. Watch the skiers during the day, and be relaxed by the magical glow of the lit runs at night. (Maybe it’s just us, but morning coffee and aprés cocktails seem to taste even better on the attached balcony.) Besides the abundant natural light in the living room, you’ll also love the charming gas fireplace — just press ‘on’ on the remote, and you’ll be warm and cozy immediately!

While Steamboat restaurants are fantastic (we’ll gladly recommend some!), sometimes you just want to stay in. So our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, from cookie sheets to a crockpot to a Keurig. We have pots and pans of all sizes, baking dishes, and all the utensils you need. (We want you to feel at home here, so any spices, seasonings, olive oil etc. in the cupboards are available for your use!) The table seats five guests — but if you want to spread out even more, there is a large dining table in the community room as well as an outdoor table for guest use (both with access to the BBQ grill).

After your day on the mountain, relax with a movie on the large SmartTV. Soothe sore muscles (and take in the views) in the relaxing hot tub. Or play backgammon or a board game.

When it’s time to rest up for tomorrow’s adventures, comfy bedrooms await. The first is across from a full bathroom with tub and shower, and has a queen bed and twin daybed for couples, three kids (or two who don’t want to share their sleeping space!). The second bedroom has a plush king bed and en suite bathroom with shower and tub. Both bedrooms have SmartTVs for those who like to catch one last show before bed.
Ridgecrest is just a 7- or 8-minute walk) from the Ski Base Area/Ski Time Square, thanks to a new public easement that lets you avoid major roads. (Maybe a few minutes longer in ski boots … because, well, ski boots.)

No matter what season brings you here (hint: if you haven’t experienced Steamboat in summer, you should), there are so many things to do. Besides the world-class skiing, you’ll find live music, hot air balloon glows, and more on the base — in the summer, “Burgess Beach” opens at the foot of the mountain, and offers adirondack chairs for relaxing while you watch the kids splash in the clear shallow water or play in the sand. If you’re here on a Thursday or Sunday in the summer or fall, take the gondola up to the Thunderhead lodge for their Sunset Happy Hour, complete with live music at the top of the mountain.

If you feel like heading to the shops and restaurants downtown, you’ll find it’s a super short and easy drive (only a few miles). And if you don’t feel like driving, there are plenty of Ubers, Lyfts, or private shuttle options available (we’ve included some in our guide book). You can also walk to the base area to catch the free city shuttle at one of the many stops there. Other fun activities you might want to explore are tubing down the Yampa River, visiting the hot springs and renting snowmobiles. The options for adventure are endless!

We're excited and honored to host your stay here. We hope you enjoy Steamboat!
