Ride hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV trails right from the property, and when the snow falls, enjoy the convenience of a snowmobile trail that runs directly through the property.
Inside, the cabin features 3 cozy bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a welcoming electric fireplace in the living room perfect for relaxing evenings after a day of exploring. Head to the lower level for friendly competition with foosball, ping pong, board games, puzzles, and your very own bar—a perfect spot for rainy day lounging.
Step outside and enjoy a true Northwoods paradise. Spend your afternoons kayaking on the small semi-private fishing lake, hike nearby trails, or explore Marinette County’s iconic waterfalls. As evening settles in, relax in the hot tub (available May through October), savor a beautiful sunset over the water, roast marshmallows by the fire, and finish the night with stargazing under the peaceful Northwoods Sky.

The Space:
Doodle Acres Cottage is perfect for a group or family and is located in Marinette County, WI, approximately 80 miles north of Green Bay, 110 miles northeast of Appleton and 30 miles south of Iron Mountain, MI. The property is a 32-acre wooded lot directly connected to county forest land at the rear. The cottage is set at least 400 yards off the road away from the noise with ample parking space for all your toys, vehicles, and boat or ATV/snowmobile trailer.
Inside the cabin:
The well-stocked kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and everything you need to prep meals, from a wide variety of spices to cooking utensils, baking sheets, a crockpot, blender, toaster and coffee bar with two coffee makers. Start your mornings at the cozy breakfast island or gather with friends and family around the spacious dining table that sits up to ten. Adjacent to the dining room, a Blackstone griddle is conveniently located on the upper deck for all your summer grilling needs. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a complimentary basket of snacks and STARTER coffee to kick off your stay. If you need anything else, a convenience store in Amberg is just a short drive away, ensuring you have everything for a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
Settle into the inviting living room overlooking a picturesque lake view beside the warm glow of the electric fireplace. This welcoming space is perfect for gathering with loved ones on chilly evenings, sharing stories, and unwinding or enjoying a friendly game of chess and a variety of board games for relaxed entertainment and memorable moments together.
Retreat to one of the cozy bedrooms, each featuring a ceiling fan and light darkening/filtering shades for your comfort. Comfortable beds with all new mattresses, bed bug protective pillow and mattress covers, freshly laundered sheets and plenty of blankets ensure a relaxing night's sleep.
There are three bathrooms at the cabin, one on each level, each thoughtfully stocked with essentials such as hand soap, lotion, vanity kits, makeup remover wipes, washcloths, hand towels, and toilet paper. The main level bathroom features a shower over tub, as well as grab bars for added safety while the lower level bathroom provides a walk-in shower. Both are equipped with convenient shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. The half bath is located on the upper level.
Experience the ultimate lower-level retreat, thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and adventure. Inside, the bar is stocked with drinkware, an ice bucket, cocktail shaker, and a mini-fridge – perfect for keeping your favorite beverages chilled. Challenge friends to ping pong or foosball, settle in for a movie night with an extensive DVD collection, or enjoy puzzles and coloring books for all ages. For a nostalgic treat, enjoy fresh popcorn from the vintage popcorn machine. Snowmobilers and ATV riders will appreciate the dedicated helmet rack, convenient gear hooks, and a spacious area to store boots and riding equipment—making it easy to transition from outdoor excitement to indoor comfort.
Step outside to unwind in a hammock or lounge chairs, gather around the outdoor bar table, or take a short walk to the hot tub for a soothing soak. This space is perfect for creating memorable moments, whether you’re seeking lively entertainment or peaceful relaxation.
Other things to note:
The cabin is equipped with central air, a propane gas furnace and brand-new tankless water heater to ensure endless supply of hot water for a larger group of guests. The lower-level laundry room has a washer and dryer and is stocked with laundry detergent and dryer sheets. A password protected high-speed internet is available free of charge.

House Rules:
We understand no one wants Rules, especially when you are on vacation. So, we made it simple for you. There are only three.
Rule #1: Treat our "Happy Place" like yours.
We aren’t a big corporation—we’re just two honest, hard-working people who spent 1,000+ hours hand-crafting this space. We ask that you treat our home with the same respect and dignity you’d want for your own. Let’s keep this a nice place for everyone to "stay and play"!
Rule #2 The "Doodle" Code (Pet Policy).
As parents to two doodles, Archie, a rescue Golden Doodle, and Teddy, an Australian Labradoodle (our “designer mutt”), we love being able to welcome your well-trained (potty and all) four-legged companions into our cottage! To keep our cottage allergy-friendly and fresh for all:
• Furniture: Please keep pets off the furniture and beds. If your pup is a professional lounger, we’ve provided dog covers—just use them and toss them in the wash at checkout.
• Poo Patrol: Please clean up after your dog immediately using the outdoor waste station. We want everyone to enjoy the yard and property amenities.
• The "Stinky" Rule: Do not dispose of waste bags in the inside trash cans. Please use the designated outdoor trash bin. I mean, STINKY house, YUK!
• Note: Failure to follow these two simple pet steps will result in a $250 deep-cleaning fee.

Rule #3: Honest & Open Communication.
I’m a firm believer that "sh*t happens." If something breaks or doesn't meet your expectations for a Northwoods retreat, tell us RIGHT AWAY. We want to make it right while you’re here, not after you leave. We highly recommend travel and damage insurance for total peace of mind—because Mother Nature (and life) can be unpredictable!

ACCESS TO THE GARAGE IS NOT PERMITTED TO GUESTS. There are two owner’s closets that are always locked. HUNTING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY.

• Marinette County has over 200 miles of ATV/UTV trails for you to explore. The majority of this trail system is open year-round except during inclement trail conditions during the spring break-up (typically around April). Marinette County road routes open May 1st. All UTVs are allowed to ride on ATV designated trails in Marinette County
• Weather and trail conditions permitting, ride endless miles of snowmobile trails right from the property, from Crivitz through thousands of acres of Marinette County & Nicolet National Forest
• Hunters look no further! There are 1000s of acres of public hunting land for grouse, turkey, bear & deer hunting just a short ATV/UTV drive from the property
• If you are a trout fishing enthusiast, Marinette County has miles of class A rated Trout streams including one at the back of the property
• 15 waterfalls nearby offer short and long hikes in serene and natural settings
