About Harry Redfearn
Our family grew up on the Crystal Coast and after living in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, Emerald Isle and Swansboro we found Olde Towne Yacht Club in Beaufort and fell in love. It's simply a very special place with the best views we have ever seen. Our primary residence is now in Asheville NC so this condo serves as our seasonal second home away from home.
Why Harry Redfearn chose Beaufort
Olde Towne Yacht Club is ideally situated between the seaside towns of Beaufort and Morehead City. Beaufort was voted Americas coolest small town in 2012 and boast great waterfront dining and entertainment, historic homes and attractions, shopping on the boardwalk and is a favorite port of call for yachts and sailboats visiting from around the world. Travel and Leisure magazine voted Beaufort NC #1 among America's Favorite Small Towns in 2015, America's Favorite Beach Town in 2014 and America's Most romantic Town in 2016. The Beaufort waterfront offers sailing charters aboard the catamaran, 'Lookout', including tours to see the Dolphins and famous wild Spanish Mustang horses as well as day trips to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and beautiful Sunset Sails. There are also charter services that offer parasailing, kayaking, bike rentals, paddle boarding and water taxi services to Shackelford Banks and Fort Macon. The Morehead City waterfront is a boater's paradise offering world class fishing charters to the Gulf Stream and is home the Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament. Both waterfronts offer easy access by car or boat to 30 plus restaurants including fine dining, bars and entertainment and quaint locally owned shops along the boardwalks.

Beyond the condo, there's just so much to do in this area: There's great golfing within a short drive, unique Shops including Art, Pottery, Antiques, Clothing, Gourmet, and Jewelry & Gifts. The Beaufort waterfront and boardwalk have yachts and sailboats as the back drop for excellent restaurants. And night time entertainment is available at the Dock House, Cru Wine bar and Back Street Pub in Beaufort and Jacks on the water front in Morehead City. The NC Maritime Museum has a special Exhibit on Blackbeard and his ship the 'Queen Anne's Revenge'. The Historic District Homes Tour walking or English Double-decker Bus Tours is a must see.
