Experience Alaska’s incredible summer with long daylight hours, peaceful forest views, wildlife passing by your porch, and a cozy place to unwind after your adventures.

This newly remodeled home is designed for comfort and convenience, making it a perfect base for exploring Fairbanks and the surrounding wilderness.

Enjoy two comfortable bedrooms with smart storage, a warm and welcoming interior, and quiet surroundings to relax after a day of hiking, fishing, or sightseeing.

Due to a sewer repair, the property is temporarily limited to 2 guests maximum from March - May 2026. This helps prevent plumbing overload until repairs are completed.

Thank you for understanding.

The space:
2 Cozy Bedrooms
Full Bathroom
Fully Stocked Kitchen — cookware, utensils, spices, coffee/tea setup & more
Stunning Winter Scenery right outside your windows
Warm & comfortable living space

Enter through the spacious covered deck that wraps around two sides of the home. Inside, the entry provides plenty of room for coats, boots, and outdoor gear.

The entry opens into a vaulted living and dining area with a table for six, a TV, and entertainment options for relaxing after a day of exploring. A loveseat pulls out into a full-size bed (great for kids, though a bit short for most adults).

Just around the corner is the fully equipped kitchen, stocked with everything you need for cooking. We love to cook ourselves and want you to have the tools you need—if something is missing, please let me know and I’ll happily pick it up.

A short hallway leads to the first-floor bathroom with a full-size shower and a combo washer-dryer that works well for small laundry loads.

Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms of equal size, each with a comfortable queen bed. Both bedrooms feature a special window positioned so you can check the sky for northern lights without even stepping outside.

During the summer months, the porch becomes a wonderful place to relax with a dining table, comfortable seating, and peaceful views of the surrounding woods. Behind the home you’ll find several acres of public land with quiet trails perfect for a short walk or evening stroll under Alaska’s long summer daylight.

Whether you spend your days hiking, fishing, sightseeing, or simply enjoying the fresh Alaska air, this cozy home offers a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day.

Come experience the beauty of Alaska with all the comforts of home.

Guest access
Guests have full, private access to the entire two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, including a covered porch — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You'll also have dedicated parking for up to three vehicles and an exterior outlet to plug in one vehicle during your stay in the winter. Carport is not available this winter. You will need an All Wheel Drive or Four Wheel Drive vehicle to access the property in the winter.

While there is another full-time residence on the property, only a small portion of the driveway is shared. We kindly ask that you be respectful when coming and going to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone.

Other things to note:
You may spot local wildlife during your stay — moose are sometimes seen wandering through the property. If you’re lucky enough to see one, please enjoy the experience from a safe distance and give them plenty of space. They’ll typically move along on their own.

This was easily one of the nicest stays I've ever had. The host was kind, communicative, and incredibly accommodating. The house is easily the best-stocked and thought out property I've stayed in. Little details, like having cooking oil and spices, made the house feel homey. Amenities like a carport and outlet for an engine block heater, and washer/dryer add convenience. Location feels private, but close to town. Property was spotless and well-maintained. Easy 5/5 stars - thank you, Ginger!

Seth, Thank you so much for this incredible review—it truly means a lot to us! We’re so glad you felt at home and that the little details made a difference in your stay. We put a lot of thought into stocking the house and making it as comfortable and convenient as possible, especially with things like the carport, block heater outlet, and washer/dryer for those Alaska conditions. We also love that balance of privacy while still being close to town, so it’s great to hear you enjoyed that too. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d absolutely love to welcome you back anytime!

What a beautiful and quiet little getaway!I normally stay in hotel hotels when I travel for work, but I took the opportunity here in Alaska to rent this little house and I could not be happier! The drive through the woods and the snow to get to the house was gorgeous and felt like I was escaping from the city and any hint of work. The cabinet itself was amazing, with everything that I could’ve needed and so many things that I didn’t even use this time. Snacks, coffee, dishes, and even bathroom toiletries! Everything that I could have needed was there, and it was almost like being at home, but with a much better view! I would recommend this to anyone trying to break away from the hustle and bustle and really just enjoy some quiet time in Alaska.!
The drive-in was completely beautiful

Thank you so much for this thoughtful review—we’re so glad you chose to switch it up from a hotel and stay with us! It means a lot to hear that the cabin gave you that true “escape” feeling, especially with the peaceful drive in and the quiet surroundings. We love creating a space that feels like a home away from home, so we’re thrilled you enjoyed the stocked kitchen, snacks, coffee, and little extras throughout the cabin. And we couldn’t agree more—the views out here really do make it special. We’d absolutely love to host you again anytime you’re back in Alaska, whether for work or another quiet getaway!

We’re local hosts and always available if anything comes up during your stay. I like to message if there is wildlife around so you don't miss them or let you know about fun events my family or I really enjoy.

I'm an active person who enjoys camping, hiking, reading, quilting, real estate, and hanging out with my family. My favorite time of day is the morning and listening to nature while enjoying a cup of hot coffee or tea. I love the quiet of the country but greatly appreciate the convenience of town.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds — the peaceful feeling of being out in the Alaskan countryside while still being conveniently located about 10 minutes from town. The home sits at the end of the street, which makes it especially quiet and private with very little traffic. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the surrounding nature, and still have easy access to everything Fairbanks has to offer.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property special is the peaceful setting combined with thoughtful design for a comfortable stay. The home sits at the end of a quiet street, offering extra privacy and beautiful views of the surrounding forest. Upstairs bedroom windows are positioned so guests can check the sky for the northern lights without even stepping outside during aurora season. With cozy indoor spaces and a large covered porch for relaxing outdoors, it’s a wonderful place to unwind while experiencing the beauty of Alaska.
