*Fully furnished; high quality linens; 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft with double futon. (One bedroom with two twins and second bedroom with one queen)
*Full bathroom with tub+shower and private washer/dryer
*All utilities provided including large screen TV plus Internet/WiFi


*Nearby historic sites, gold panning, dog mushing, natural hot springs, arctic cultural events, river or ice fishing, ice sculptures, and lots more! Owner is a long-time resident and retired teacher with plenty of local knowledge and suggestions
*optional addition of 2nd yurt and next door rental house for larger groups
Mountain Moose...An alpine getaway…and only a short drive from downtown Fairbanks!

* four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is needed during the winter months
(September -April)

*Must be 25+ to make a reservation.
*NO parties/events! In consideration of all other on-site guests and neighbors, booked guest count will be strictly enforced at all times.
*Use of SHARED outdoor hot tub (4 person limit) through a short trail to the main house, within usage guidelines listed in guest handbook. Guidelines must be adhered to in order to avoid additional cleaning fees.

Northern Lights!!

We came to see the Northern Lights and enjoy Fairbanks. The Aurora Yurt was a great place to retreat to at the end of a long adventure filled day. It was also great for viewing the Aurora right out the front door

Super relaxing, lovely yurt for a short trip to Fairbanks. We were lucky enough to see the aurora from right out front. The location is great, easy access to town for food etc, but removed enough to have a quiet trip.

Having never been in a yurt we had no idea what to expect but we were up for trying new things. When we walked in the door we were surprised by the size … a full kitchen very well stocked …2 bedrooms and a loft! And a full size bathroom w washer/ dryer. Beds were very comfortable.. everything’s was very cute. You’re up in the trees which is what we love but you’re still close to town. We were lucky enough to be able to view the lights which actually Colleen messaged us to let us know so we wouldn’t have missed them. If you love being in the trees and want a relaxing unique experience this yurt will not disappoint!

If you have the opportunity to stay in the Aurora Yurt, do it! Most beautiful, and comfortable place we stayed! The Aurora was spectacular, sunrise and sunsets were a close second. This place is thoughtfully arranged and maintained! Loved it!

Cozy Getaway!

We loved staying here! Colleen was great with ongoing communication, including detailed directions & checking in. We arrived to a warm, cozy, & spacious place with twinkle lights, lamps & candles welcoming us. The bed was comfy & the morning sunrise out the front door/windows was beautiful!
