An Exceptional Year-Round Location
Location truly is everything — and this one delivers in every season. Shasta Ski Park (less than 1 hour away) in winter for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and winter sightseeing.

The hot tub is a brand new 5-person spa with 35 jets and a lounger with views of the lake by day and the stars by night We also have four kayaks and two inflatable paddle boards available for use in the warmer months.
Despite the peaceful, wooded setting, you’re only about three miles from the I-5 exit, grocery stores, gas stations, and local dining.

About the host
Hosted by Jerred Nelson
My wife and I are from Oregon. We are excited to be fostering a place where families can slow down, gather around good food, and enjoy time together at the lake. We love cooking, sharing meals, and making memories in the Lake Shasta area, and we hope your stay reflects that spirit of comfort and connection.
We are very hands-on hosts who have spent a great deal of time at Lake Shasta and we care deeply about your experience. We work with trusted local support and are always just a message away to make sure your stay is easy, comfortable, and memorable.
Our goal is simple: to offer the kind of warm, thoughtful hospitality we hope to find when we travel — and a getaway you’ll want to return to again and again.

Why they chose this property
We love the location at The Sugar House, tucked away in the trees with a fenced yard for the dogs but still able to see and walk to the lake from the yard and the large bay windows that face the lake. We love enjoying our morning coffee and being able see how many boats are driving by.
What makes this property unique
Being close to the lake and marina is crucial for us, but I think more importantly we love having two houses on the property, which allows some guests to have a bit more privacy if needed. This is great for the family or friends in your group that have younger kids or a baby or whomever may need a little extra space while on vacation.
