Please note that we do not accept rentals during the summer that overlap into a second week. Our turnover day in the summer is on Saturday.

Enjoy all the Outer Banks has to offer in this non- smoking sound front home located in Pirate's Cove resort community with private yard, private dock and 30' boat slip. Pirate's Cove is a private, gated island with a 24 hours manned guard shack at the entrance. The island is situated between Manteo and Nags Head and surrounded by the Roanoke Sound.

Spread out in four bedrooms and 3 full baths plus an outdoor shower. Master bedroom has a jetted tub and a private deck.

Included with your stay is free access to the Pirate's Cove community pool (seasonal), Pirate's Cove hot tub (seasonal), tennis courts, playground, clubhouse, and fitness center. Daily activities for children and adults are provided by Pirate's Cove recreation staff Memorial Day through Labor Day and over spring break.

Enjoy high-speed internet and televisions in every bedroom.

Child-friendly -high chair, pack and play, baby monitor (sound only), and built-in gate on the back deck to keep the little ones at bay. Large yard for playing with the kids.

Large deck with gate and deck chairs. Enjoy eating on the deck with the large picnic table. Watch the boats coming in and the dolphin swimming by the house.

Private dock with built-in seating and lighting. Fish and crab right off the dock. Swim ladder on the dock during summer (please no diving). Fishing tips provided upon request!

Cook at home in the well-equipped kitchen or use the Weber gas grill. If you prefer to eat out, there are dozens of restaurants to choose from in Manteo or Nags Head just a mile or so away. Recommendations provided upon request!

Bring your boat and use the 30' boat slip in the canal system across from the house. Parking for your trailer is available underneath the house (if it will fit). Otherwise, the trailer will have to be stored offsite. Or, book a charter out of Pirate's Cove full-service marina.

It is a short drive over to the ocean (one mile). There is easy public parking for a trip to the ocean.

Pirate's Cove has miles of lighted docks throughout the community perfect for walking, jogging, crabbing, fishing or watching the sunset over the sound.

The driveway allows for four vehicles, depending on the size. This assumes no boat trailer.

You are renting directly from the owner, not a rental agency. Short stays (minimum three nights) will be considered upon request. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Family groups only, please. When making your inquiry, please list the number of adults and minor children in your group. Finally, please note that the house is not held for you until payment is made. For certain weeks, we often get multiple inquiries that require a prompt response and payment from our guests to avoid losing the house.

Fantastic stay

Booked a last minute long weekend trip. The owner was so accommodating and easy to work with. The house was clean, had everything we needed, great location. Would definitely book again next time we come back!

Amazing Home with Amazing Views

This beautiful home located on the Roanoke Sound is absolutely stunning. It is also just a few minutes drive from the ocean and downtown Manteo which made site seeing and daily excursions very convenient. The daily dolphin sitings while sitting on the deck were an amazing bonus. Simply put, this a great place to spend a family vacation.

Beautiful waterfront home

This was our first time visiting the OBX, and this house could not have been more perfect. It is located in a quiet, private community with plenty of amenities to choose from. Spacious, clean, well-kept home located on the sound with a short drive to the beach.

Great House and Location

We had a great getaway vacation in this immaculate house on Roanoke Sound. The house is well furnished, with a beautiful view. Manteo is in the middle of the OBX, so everything is easy to get to, from Ocracoke to Corolla. There are convenient supermarkets, seafood markets and lots of restaurants nearby.

Beautiful sunrises

We had the best week staying in Pirates cove. We took our jet skis and docked them in the canal. We were able to enjoy cruising in the sound with the dolphins. The house was wonderful. Close drive over the bridge to the beach in South Nagshead. Plenty of wonderful seafood dinners close by. Couldnt have asked for a better host or house. Comfortable beds and a quiet neighborhood led to the best week. Thanks again for letting us stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Home from Home

We couldn't have asked for a better more memorable place to stay at for our mini vacation down on the Outer Banks. The house is awesome with everything you could possibly ask for a family with a young child. Crib, High chair, toys, games, books everything you could possibly think off! For the adults.. Apart from the place being amazing and really well equipped... Waking up to the most fantastic sunrises every day, the kind of sunrises that stay as fond memories for the rest of your life.. Priceless!! What else could top off everything.. Our daughter had only taken a few steps before we arrived.... she left a walker! Stop your search, book this house... Magic happens here... Trust me! 1 Proud Parent! P.S we know where we will be staying later in the year when we come back. Right here!

Beautiful and Spacious Family Retreat

This beautiful, spacious home was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 7 (consisting of parents and 5 adult children) had plenty of room. It was even better than the pictures showed! The bedrooms were very comfortable and the den was perfect to be able to just sit around and enjoy each others company. The deck and dock were perfect for relaxing. The whole house was extremely clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect for us because it was located in a quiet cove just a couple of minutes away from shopping, eating and some of the main attractions of the outer banks. We were able to visit the lighthouses, the Wright Bros. Museum at Kitty Hawk, Jeannette's Pier, the beaches and the outlet stores, as well as several area restaurants. The owner was very helpful and answered every question and concern we had. He provided us with a list of activities, attractions and restaurants for the area. Every restaurant we tried was excellent! Our only regret was that we didn't have longer to stay! I hope we will get to visit this area again and I would definitely try to stay here. I have already recommended this property to my friends and other family members.

Great waterfront house

We had the best vacation staying at this house! It had everything we needed. Great to fish every day off the dock or just relax. Beautiful sun rise every morning while enjoying nature, dolphins, pelicans, ducks and egrets! We definitely want to go back!

R&R in Manteo

The house was right on the sound. We were able to sit on the deck every day and watch the world go around. The best was watching the dolphins. I was even able to sit under the covered deck portion when the rain came through. It was a great house, filled with all your needs - good kitchen, good family room, and a good way to decompress. This is our third time staying here, and always enjoyed it.

Wonderful getaway that feels like home, great location and superlative assistance

Had an amazing time here with my wife, toddler, and in-laws. The owner Terrell was very communicative throughout the initial process, and the house was very well set up with lots of great information. Everything from the kitchen to the laundry to the outdoor areas were very thoughtfully put together. Fantastic views in a very nice boating community with great common areas including a pool, gym, and grills. What really set this property apart was the support and service from Terrell; we had several special requests come up to help keep our toddler comfortable and accommodate some specific needs, and he went completely above and beyond to help. This was easily the best experience we've had (and vacations have certainly gotten more challenging with a little one), and we can't wait to come back here regularly.

Great house, great location!

This was my first visit to the Outerbank area and not only was this waterfront home in a good location, sort of half way if you want to drive down all the way to Hatteras Island, but also close to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk areas - though to me they were way too commercial. Coquina Beach and Pea Island down south were less crowded and had better beaches. But also dealing with the owner Terrel was very smooth. He was very responsive and helpful with any suggestions or questions you may have had. Again beautiful home facing the water in a well secured community! What else do you need???

Great stay

This was our first time staying in Manteo. We typically stay much more south in Salvo. Pirate's Cove was very convenient to shopping and a cute safe neighborhood for the kids to explore. The deck and picnic table out back were very nice to enjoy dinner outside and the dock over the water was fun to crab and fish off of (even though we didn't catch anything!). The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed to cook our meals each day. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful property

I cannot say enough good things about this place - the location is great, the beds are comfortable, and the property owner is great to work with. My family stayed here for a week. We really enjoyed the pool & fishing/crabbing on the pier. The house is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

OBX - Pirates Cove

We loved the house and layout! Overall it was clean and neat. The dock was a joy for the kids! Hours of fun fishing and hunting crabs. Baby items available were very helpful. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Swimming pool was the best!! Just a short ride from the house. Neighborhood was friendly and well-manicured. Very safe. We loved it! Owner very responsive and helpful to us!

This is a beautiful and comfortable house located in a resort like complex. It had everything we needed. The owner was a great help with recommendations on what to do and restaurants. First time in OBX and we did a lot of outdoor activities and outdoor dining....even off season. I highly recommend this house. Great location and I really loved having a water view.

Our growing family has made memories in this house for many years. As our children have gotten older, we find we don't have time to use the house like we did when they were little. We first offered our beach house for rent beginning in 2014. We hope you will love Manteo and Pirate's Cove as much as we do.
