Kathi is a communicative and generous host. This tiny home is the cutest, and the interior is spotless. The bed is very comfortable and the location is SO quiet. We woke up to deer on our doorstep :) This home is definitely for two people who like each other, and who have no physical limitations climbing in to the loft.

Thank you Dara for your kind words. I am pleased you enjoyed the TH, that the space met your needs and that my efforts are appreciated. Thank you too for the laugh; yes, the TH is very cozy and invites closeness. I think that is one of its best aspects - unless you are with a foe! We hope to see you again, perhaps in summer when you can truly enjoy the deck and the deer. :-)
This was the perfect place for a solo getaway! I had my space but knew Kathi was close at hand should I need anything. The drive from Portland was long enough to feel "away" but short enough to be practical. The tiny house won my heart! You can feel the care that went into every detail. I look forward to returning!

Thank you so much for such a glowing review! The TH was absolutely a labor of love and I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to hosting you again. Kathi
What a treat! We are so happy to have found Kathi 's property. Easy drive from Portland, quiet and so well laid out, we really enjoyed our time. We should have booked a second night and will definitely be back. My only suggestion would be to provide more information about the trail we saw and other local activities. What a great use of space, loved the barstools! Thank you, Kathi, for a wonderful restful space. We will tell all our friends & hope to return soon!

About the host
Hosted by Kathi Tuck
We are both native Oregonians and love the rural life. Born and raised in Portland, we are both medical professionals and love the outdoors. I have run marathons, half-marathons, fun runs and started competing in triathlons 8 years ago. Hiking, biking, paddleboarding, swimming - we love being outside!
Why they chose this property
The drive is not fun but getting home is bliss. The quiet, the solitude, the trees, having a garden and canning the results or making jam or treats......I couldn't want anything else!
What makes this property unique
You have the Tiny House all to yourself, facing away from our home and set in the trees. Just looking out the windows is relaxing and when it’s not raining you can enjoy the deck. We are located less than one mile from the Crown Zellerbach trail where you can run, walk, hike or bike all 18 miles from Scappoose to Vernonia. The Scappoose Marina on Scappoose Bay is a few miles away where you can paddleboard or kayak. In the summer, you can enjoy the BBQ or sun on the grassy lawn across the driveway.
