Designed for guests who value comfort, privacy, and thoughtful details, the home offers seasonal lake views from nearly every room and unforgettable sunrises from the deck and primary bedroom.
Oversized windows and vaulted ceilings fill the space with natural light, creating a calm, connected lake-house feel that’s immediately noticeable. This is a place that feels intentional—relaxed but refined, peaceful without feeling remote.

Sunrise views from the deck and primary bedroom
Quiet, wooded setting near the tip of a peninsula
Bright Mountain Modern design with oversized windows
Fully stocked kitchen ideal for longer stays
Fast, reliable Wi-Fi for remote work

Easy, Honest Lake Access
The road leads directly to the public boat launch and swim area, just a scenic 5-minute walk or quick 1-minute drive from the cabin. Whether you’re launching a boat, kayaking, or heading down for a swim, access is simple and uncrowded. For extended boating days, Hurricane Marina is only 10 minutes away, offering overnight slips, fuel, and rentals.
The Space
Designed with couples and small families in mind, the cabin blends modern design with relaxed lake living. The open-concept layout features warm wood accents, vaulted ceilings, and massive windows that frame the surrounding forest. Fast, reliable Wi-Fi supports remote work or longer stays, and the home is fully stocked for everyday comfort—not just weekend use.
Living & Dining
Designed for connection, our main living area is a screen-free zone—perfect for late-night conversations by the hearth or watching the sunrise through the oversized windows. (Don’t worry—when it’s time for a movie, both bedrooms feature private TVs). You’ll also find a cozy electric fireplace, board games, and a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled mobile projector for movie nights indoors or on the patio.
Kitchen
A chef-ready kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a coffee bar, and everything needed to prepare real meals. Whether it’s a quick breakfast before the lake or a relaxed dinner back at the cabin.
Bedrooms
Two serene bedrooms with premium linens and Smart TVs. The primary bedroom opens directly onto the deck through double doors, offering peaceful lake views and sunrise light right from bed.
Outdoor Living
Outdoor space is a highlight. Enjoy the wrap-around deck for morning coffee or evening meals, fire up the gas grill, or gather around the private wooded fire pit under the stars (firewood provided). In winter months, foliage clears to reveal broader lake views from nearly every room.
Location
Set in a quiet, wooded neighborhood near the tip of a peninsula, The Little Lake House offers privacy without isolation. You’re minutes from the water, a short drive to Hurricane Marina, and close to local dining favorites like The Twisted Oar. The approach includes crossing Hurricane Bridge, one of the most scenic drives around Center Hill Lake.
Professionally cleaned, thoughtfully prepared, and fully stocked to ensure a smooth, comfortable stay from arrival to departure.
Ideal for: couples, small families, and guests seeking a peaceful, design-forward lake escape.
Pro-Tip for Boaters: Our peninsula lot is charmingly secluded, which means the driveway is best suited for boats 16’ or smaller. For larger vessels, we recommend a nightly slip at Hurricane Marina (just 15 mins away)—it’s affordable ($30/night) and keeps your stay stress-free!
Not waterfront, but walkable (5 minutes) and drivable (1 minute) lake access with clear, convenient logistics.
Exceptionally well-suited for long weekends, midweek escapes, and extended stays where you can truly settle in.

About the host
Hosted by Anthony DePass
I am a scientist who loves nature. I also enjoy sharing this fantastic home.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it has elements that I have found desirable. It is private, has a spacious property, fantastic views from the deck and the rooms, and ready water access to the water. In addition, it is located in close proximity to several parks with waterfalls and great hiking. Of course the local wineries and distilleries add another dimension to the attractiveness of the location.
What makes this property unique
This home is unique in many ways. First the design elements that combine modern and rustic forms work well together.
The location of a 1 minute drive (5 minute walk) to a boat launch and swimming area is a home run.
The cabin has a lot of privacy and gives that tree top vibe but with nice views of the lake.
My absolute favorite is the sunrises that lights up the house through the large windows and doors. You are literally awakened by the rays as the sun rises above the ridge, cutting across the deck into the primary bedroom and living room.
