Condo was as described. Very comfortable and good location. Condo needs some maintenance (downstairs toilet wouldn’t flush without opening tank lid to manually flush, slow draining sinks, etc. Details provided directly to property owner.
The owner was very responsive to needs - the bathroom sink was draining and they came right away to fix it. The house was well-furnished and met our needs well.
Stayed over the 4th of July. Didnt even have to leave our property to see the fireworks. The neighbors all lit of a TON also. Kids loved the pooldls and amenities of the resort but thw convenience of having our own house. Not far from arnolds park, or barefoot bar. We did take down 3 wasps nests under the table on the patio. But other than that no issues.
Spent the weekend with my kids and grandkids. House was nice and clean. Great quiet neighborhood. One of the bedrooms was very warm. My room was perfect and great bed. The master room has a very soft bed. Overall great place.
We really enjoyed the property. We have lots of kids and everyone can have their own bed. The kitchen is nice, there was a nice patio set outside to relax and the garage was nice too.
We did have a problem with the freezer in the refrigerator freezing. But other than that, we had no issues.
The property was well decorated and made it feel like home.
We stayed here with family, including very small children. The cleanliness was mediocre a best. I believe a Bachelor/Bachelorette party had stayed here before us and the cleaning job they did in between bookings was not good. The first thing we noticed was that there was a huge fly problem and we had kept the doors and windows shut so I didn't know why at first. My toddler then found the first of a few a random full hot dogs in places like in the tv/media cabinet and under the couch. They were very obviously in hiding spots so it had to have been left there by other people. It was very gross and explained the flies. I'm thinking it was a game the people before us played and the cleaners didn't know there were hidden hot dogs everywhere. It pretty much ruined the trip for us at that point though.
The leather recliner was also very broken. There was also a piece a clothing stuck on the vaulted ceiling fan in the living room, looked like maybe a t-shirt. The floors in the living room were very dirty as well.
The kitchen and bathrooms at least seemed cleaned, and were fully stocked. Bedrooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was very quiet and nice for families.
This home had everything we needed for a long weekend away. It was nice to have enough beds for 6 adults, multiple bathrooms, and plenty of seating space for our group, both inside and outside on the patio. The location is great.
This was an excellent property to stay at, exactly as described. Very well stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies, utensils, cookware, everything you could need. I can't think of anything we wished it had. Very well cared for. All the beds (even the bunks) were very comfortable. Great outdoor patio with tons of open space. Easy walk to Bridges Bay.
If you have a boat there is nowhere to put a boat/trailer on the property but there is an overflow lot across the highway from Bridges, public launch a few blocks from there, which worked fine for us.
The only downside (nothing within the owners control) is the Bridges Bay developments in general are just getting way too big for the waterpark space they have available (it was SO crowded even on a Thursday...and the weekend brought all the bach parties). Our visit was over a July weekend and probably 1/3 of the rental properties around us were occupied by bachelorette/bachelor parties, it was really loud late into the night but this rental has fans in every room (genius) so we were able to drown out the music and shenanigans.
I'd highly recommend this property and we'll definitely be back when we're planning to be in the area again.
The home & property was just as nice & well kept as reviews said. The back is green grass & Mason loved to kick soccer ball & Ailyn found other kids to play fun games. This is not owners fault but we were disappointed that large outdoor pool was closed on this beautiful day (lack of workers). The kids had no trouble having a great time at the indoor pool.
From booking to check out- property did not disappoint- pictures were not doctored- well equipped kitchen- comfortable beds- the fire pit was a nice touch for late night bonding ! Would definitely stay again.
We’ve been going to to Okoboji for the last decade as a family and still love it. We always try to stay in Bridges Bay Area and loved our unit. Very close to the 2 community swimming pools and easy walking distance to Bracco and the water park… location is PERFECT. The house is in great shape and our family of 5 all had plenty of room to spread out. Only issue we had while on our trip, which was out of control of our great hosts was the Boji Bay water park was shut down for lack of lifeguards, so kids were disappointed but again, not a reflection on our hosts. Other than that, Arnold’s Park, boating, great restaurants and bars did not disappoint. We will be back!!
It was very relaxing to be there during the off time. Didn't like the TV network "DISH NETWORK" Difficult to operate and no options.
The housekeepers could be more detailed. I cleaned up the spider webs on the patio and cleaned the patio light. The owners thought of everything for guests! Bless them. But the fans ( floor and ceiling) need to cleaned. We already want to come back. Thank you.
In light of the current virus climate, our family thought a VRBO option was the safe play for a get together. The decision didn’t disappoint, great venue and held 10 of us comfortably. We will do it again, our kids want to stay in the same place!
We spent a couple of days in Okoboji for our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable! We used the kitchen for most of our meals and it had all of the cooking pans and utensils we needed. The cabin is far enough away from the lake action that it felt very quiet but close enough to still get anywhere with a 5-10 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again!
