A thatched country house dating from 1790 with a park-like garden on a 5,500 m² lot in East Frisia’s second-oldest fen settlement, located in the Fehntjer Tief Nature Reserve. Originally a farmhouse, the house was thoroughly restored and modernized by us after numerous renovations; the thatched roof lends it a special charm.<br><br>The “De Leev” apartment is one of two unique vacation apartments, furnished in a select, modern country house style.<br><br>“De Leev” (East Frisian for “love”) is a romantic and cozy vacation apartment for newlyweds or those still in love, with or without a toddler. Suitable for up to 3 people on the 1st floor, with approximately 55 m² of living space plus a sloped attic area offering views of the backyard, fields, and a large rooftop terrace.<br>The apartment features a spacious, blackout-capable bedroom with a double bed, equipped with large pillows and standard-size blankets. There is room for both an extra bed and a travel crib. The living area, with its partially exposed ceiling beams and studs, exudes a cozy, rustic atmosphere. A sofa and a recliner invite you to unwind after an exciting day of outdoor activities. A TV, books, and games round out the end of the day—should you not choose to enjoy it on the balcony. The open kitchen with dining area seats four people. The bathroom with shower lets you start the day feeling refreshed.<br>Off the beaten path, yet right in the heart of it all! Located along the Fehnroute, your vacation rental is the perfect starting point for all kinds of excursions! The bike and walking trail runs almost right past your front door, ideal for short and long trips alike. This way, you can explore East Frisia by bike and take wonderfully long walks in nature.
