About this property
Mountain Lake Vista Retreat
Escape to this delightful, picturesque lake house with a spectacular view of Cherokee Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains, which are visible on clear days. This spacious 3-bedroom, 3-bath lake house was custom-built by my parents for their dream retirement, which they enjoyed for over 25 years.
In the next chapter of this home, I want to share it with a select group of families who also enjoy what my parents loved about this property. Since this is in a quiet retirement community, we will have specific stipulations that MUST BE followed. These are important, but easy to abide by. First, no large groups or parties, although 2 families are welcome to share the space. No loud or rowdy outdoor activities, and most importantly, treat the neighbors with the utmost respect. If you have any questions about these expectations, message me before booking.
Amenities:
The lake house is at the end of a small neighborhood and is on a 3+ acre wooded lot, making it very private. There is a wide path and hiking trail leading down the hill to a private beach. The beach is expansive and features a dock that allows you to tie up a boat if needed. The beachfront also features an 800-square-foot flat seating area with a fire pit for nighttime s'mores.
The lake is gorgeous and is situated just 40 minutes from Knoxville and a touch over an hour from Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, making it a great location for day-tripping to the Mountains.
The fishing is spectacular. There is exceptional striper and bass fishing out the back door and world-class trout fishing out the front door, as the Holston River is only a couple of miles down the road.
As for the house, it has plenty of room to spread out, and the basement has a pool table, a separate full bath, and access to a large deck overlooking the lake. Although the location is remote, Jefferson City is only 15 minutes away and offers shopping and several nice restaurants.
Out of respect for the neighbors, we will only be sharing this place with friends, family, and a limited number of respectful guests each year. We hope it works out so we can host you and have you share this amazing space with us.
