We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Natalia in San Pedro. We had plenty of room for us 2 couples and the location was great! We made memories of a lifetime and will definitely be back to visit Belize again!

Lisa! Thank you, come back again! M are more lifetime memories! It's very doable! George
The accommodations were amazing. The management company took such great care of us the entire trip and well before. They secured a golf cart for us to use for the trip, gave us recommendations for fishing/snorkling trips, checked in with us before the trip and during to ensure everything was going well.

Thank you Amy! Mary and staff are amazing aren't they? She's our on island "fixer"!! So glad you enjoyed Villa Natalia. South Ambergris Caye, in our opinion, is simply the best area of the island to stay. Much more convivial, laid back and less frenetic than town or up north over the bridge. You can head in to town, or farther north over the bridge, and emerse yourself in as much of those island scenes & vibes as you want/can handle, then a short cart back south (over our newly paved main road!!) to stars and the sounds of the reef from our dock. Please come again we'll take good care of you! Ciao! George
We enjoyed our stay. The condo was set up well and communication with property management was easy. There were a couple of times we needed things and they responded promptly. We would stay again!

Thank you Sarah. Jody and I agree. It's one of the best "amenities" Villa Natalia has to offer! Not too far from town center just far enough south where the stars twinkle brightly without the towns lights washing them out and the sounds of the waves off the reef are so soothing at night.
Great location just south of San Pedro so a bit peaceful but still easy to get into town and enjoy everything. The owner and mgmt company were GREAT to work with. The unit is in great shape and large. There's a lot of furniture in the unit which can make it feel a bit cramped but just an opinion. The only thing to improve would be more loungers in the sandy area near the pool area for sunbathing/reading/whatever. There were only 3. Around the pool there are plenty of loungers. We recommend this condo and would stay here again ourselves. There are tons of fish to see at the end of the pier when snorkeling.

Thanks Jim! I've put a request in to the Directors for more beach loungers! Glad "our" fish put on a good show for you!
This is a very nice property and the property manager Mary is fantastic. The pick up and drop off at the airport was very nice and appreciated. Property was a bit dated and not decorated my particular taste but that was not a huge issue. The biggest complaint I have is they do not allow the A/C to be set below 78 degrees, who sleeps at 78 degrees? If you are from a warm weather location where you are used to that temperature it might be ok but our entire group is from northern regions in the USA and to be frank it was miserable for sleeping. Nobody wants to be outside in 90 plus degree temperatures and then return to an accommodation where you cannot cool down. Especially bad was sleeping in the queen loft upstairs it was a minimum of 5 degrees warmer. All of our other accommodations throughout our 2 week vacation allowed us to adjust temperatures as we desired. For this reason I will not recommend this property and would not return. We had an amazing trip to Belize and loved San Pedro however not being comfortable in our accommodations to get rest in the evening was a real issue.

Thanks John, I agree Villa Natalia and our guests are well attended to by Mary and staff. We believe that Villa Natalia’s location, staff, and property are next to none in with respect to comparable accommodations in South Ambergris Caye The overall value is well above rentals charging much higher nightly rates.
We do appreciate honest feedback. How else does one maintain and improve guests’ experiences? In regards to the A/C set point this has pop up now and again. Maybe 4 times over the course of our ownership and VRBO listing and 160 reviews. However, regardless of history, we do understand that folks have varying degrees of comfort. Especially if one is used to far and away much cooler climes. Obviously for us, and the overwhelming number of past guests leaving reviews, it hasn’t been an issue.
By way of explanation of the “high” lowest A/C temperature set point, we’re actually constrained by the construction of the building itself. Its floors, walls, and ceilings are concrete, typical of the island and Belizean construction at the time of construction. In the island’s high humidity seaside climate when one of the condominiums in our little nine unit cooperative is cooled much lower than its comparably warmer, and inherently more humid neighboring units (side, above, or below), the cooled concrete surfaces inside those adjoining units, can and will form condensation, sometimes visibly. This is particularly true when a unit sits vacant and the AC is turned off or set at significantly higher temperature. In the past, several units suffered paint, duct, and drywall damage as a result. Additionally, the ceramic tile floors of an affected unit can get slippery from the moisture thereby creating a safety consideration we’d just as soon avoid.
The Board of Directors investigated and found that by maintaining a specific temperature range across all the units, the condensation and potential damage could be avoided. That range became a Board issued directive to each of the cooperatives owners. I will revisit this directive with the Board to see if they feel, with the much higher occupancy and residency levels, whether the current established range can be revisited. I do appreciate your comments as it gives us the chance to explain to our future guests reading this why the limit exists.
The following is perhaps not the best closing salutation considering the topic but it is well intended!
Warmest regards,
George

Erin!
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you found everything you needed. Our little neighborhood is probably the safest on the island, if not Belize. Our community supported Neighborhood Watch (SACNW) guys are great! Come back again! George
The property was great! The villa was clean and the resort staff were very nice. However, the sargassum was terrible. It would have been so much better if we could have enjoyed the beach front. No fault of the owners, it’s just something that happens.

Hi Robin, Thank you! SO happy you enjoyed yourselves I'll let Melbin know you appreciated his efforts. Sargassum, *sigh* you pretty much nailed it. What are you going to do? At this point it's an annual event which varies from year to year in intensity. Maybe we'l see it end when Brazil and other sugar cane growers begin to control the field runoff we'll see some relief. All those nutrients the runoff carries ultimately into the Orinoco and Amazon Rivers then out to the open ocean where it feeds the otherwise nutrient limited algae. Around about 2012- '14 this particular area of oceanic sargassum had grown so large that it spread into the northerly currents. All of the Caribbean and parts of the US have been affected. Hopefully you got over to the Secret Beach side of the island for some weed free days on the water. Best! George
Villa Natalia is EVERYTHING described and more! Perfect layout and use of space, beautiful views, fantastic dock, and quiet but close to town location. We loved every minute there and would definitely go back!!
We spent 4 nights here and the owner was very thorough with his communication and help. the management company was also very helpful and they arranged pickup and drop-off.

Our family of 5 had a terrific week-long stay. We loved to spend early mornings and sunset on the boat dock. The beach is quiet with enough shade most of the day. The apartment is well-stocked and within a short drive of supermarkets.

My family of four had a wonderful vacation and this property was perfect and "as advertised"! George was great to work with and had great recommendations for the area. Thanks to everyone who made our vacation one of the best!

Fantastic Mary Beth, All too often owners overstate their property and we very pleased that we're "on point"!
The condo was a good location for our scuba diving trip. There is a good restaurant and bar directly across the street that opens at 4 pm. The private dock made it very convenient for the scuba operator to pick us up and drop us off every day. Mary was very responsive and arranged our shuttle flights from Belize City and also our taxi from and to the airport.

With over a 100 dive locations on the reef and surrounding areas it truly is a diver's paradise. If you enjoyed your dives here in June you should come back in August sometime! The water is even warmer but more to a diver's delight the visibility is PHENOMENAL in late summer early fall! So pleased you enjoyed yourselves. George

Jody and I both traveled extensively during our childhood and teen years. Those experiences shaped and defined our love of other countries and cultures. Jody, grew up in Australia then traveled into India and Egypt. Born in Texas, I grew up in a military family and spent years abroad in France, Belgium, Italy, Japan and Asia. Our love of the Caribbean began in the early 70's when we took advantage of an all destinations pass from Eastern Airlines. We've traveled extensively throughout Central America, Mexico, Australia, and later the South Pacific. Even after visiting all of these amazing countries Belize became our family's favorite destination beginning in 1996 when we took our sons with us. We've been returning here ever since. The people of this wonderfully diverse country captured our hearts and we decided to make a Belizean home for ourselves and our guests in 2011. We are both graduates of Humboldt Polytechnic University in Northern California. Jody is a graduate with triple majors in geography, geology and engineering (I'm always mind boggled at that accomplishment). I took a degree in Wildlife Management and Research. When not in Belize we live in my families third generation hometown of Healdsburg, California surrounded by the vineyards of the Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River Valleys of Sonoma County California.
Why they chose this property
It's the perfect home in the perfect location on the perfect island.
What makes this property unique
Fabulous reef views, great beach, pool and dock. Situated in a small secure neighborhood with close proximity and easy access by golf cart to San Pedro. Enough local amenities to make going to town an option and not a necessity!
