Unique!!! Train Caboose with Station House in Sheffield. Family Friendly!

Consider this your unique home away from home while you visit Lorain County & the surrounding suburbs of Cleveland. We are also only 30 minutes away from the world famous Cedar Point amusement park! This one of a kind rental features a train caboose that includes a full bed, kitchenette, and half bath along with internet & tv. The station house has a full sized sofa bed, a twin bed, and even a child’s bed in the loft next to an antique claw foot bath where guests can soak while watching the beautiful sunset through the window perched above the tub. Guests can also have the choice of using the shower on the first floor. The living room in the station house offers an extra twin bed, perfect for those extra guests or another child. Outside, we have a fire pit if you’re up to making s’mores with the kids or telling some stories over a cocktail with good friends! With heating and air conditioning, comfort is always within reach. Whether you’re unwinding or exploring, this awesome getaway in Sheffield, Ohio will be memorable! We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at Cousin’s Caboose!

This property far exceeded my expectations! I knew that traveling with 6 people would make any space within our budget a tight fit and that was okay with us. Our family and our pet fit nicely in the two separate units on this properly. Plus I got to live out my childhood dream of sleeping in an actual caboose! Not to mention how nicely it was outfitted! Each member of our family had a nice place to sleep, and their spaces suited their age (8, 14, 15, 20). The station house was unique and cozy. The landscaping outside was also so beautiful and lush in August. The location was perfectly situated between downtown Cleveland for a Guardians game and a trip to Sandusky for Cedar Point. And having the lake with beaches, great parks, and ice cream shops within drivable distances made this a lovely and memorable one!10/10 would stay here again for a quick stay should we make it to the area again.

What an incredible and unique place to stay! The setup between the station house, garden courtyard, and converted caboose was so well thought out that it felt much larger than expected. The caboose is neatly transformed into sleeping quarters while preserving all the authentic character and magic of a real train car. The station house was packed with personality. It had every amenity you could need—full kitchen, living room, loft, and bathroom—filled with creative train-themed details you’d never find in a boring hotel.It’s secluded and private, feeling like a quiet retreat in the woods. Any child or train lover would be over the moon staying here. The conductor (Shay) was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay: Highly recommended!
