Many beautiful walking, hiking, and biking trails—as well as cross-country ski trails in winter—start nearby.Nearby attractions: Reit im Winkl (20 km), Chiemsee (25 km), Salzburg (40 km). Excellent swimming lakes for the whole family are about 15 km away.

Since 2021, we—Ulrike and Alexander Bödcher—have been running the Bergheimat with passion and personal dedication. As owners and hosts, it’s especially important to us that you feel at home from the very first moment and can enjoy your stay to the fullest.
With great attention to detail, we completely renovated the house in 2020 and gave it the character it has today. Since then, we’ve been delighted to welcome guests from near and far to our mountain retreat—and we’re thrilled every time our guests become enthusiastic explorers of Ruhpolding.
We ourselves have been living in the Chiemgau region for several years now and have long since taken this special corner of southern Bavaria to our hearts. The beautiful landscape, the mountains, nature, and the Bavarian way of life make this region a very special home for us.
