Everything was great for the most part. Very clean and accurate property listing. The host/management company’s communication was very informative and timely. The reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the water had a very pungent sulfur smell that made it difficult to shower/brush teeth. We understand that it’s likely well water so I’m sure there’s nothing that can be done to filter it out, but it was a bit off-putting so I feel it’s pertinent to mention so people know to bring lots of bottled water! Overall it was a nice time and a lovely property.
This house was truly awesome. Very clean house with a wonderful lake view and sunsets. Three separate bedrooms all with baths, the master bath is awesome. Drive in is typical for the area but easier than most.
The house was as described. It had plenty of room for the family. The views of the lake were great. The property was beautiful and clean. The communication with the host was great always available with any question or concerns. Would definitely stay again
The property we stayed at was not hospital grade clean and that’s ok. Some areas inside and out were a bit tattered and that’s ok also, it’s a home not a hotel. It was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The path to the lake was daunting and we may have spent more time down there had it been closer and more inviting when you finally reached the bottom. Overall it was worth every penny and we would rent it again if we are in the area!Thank you!!
Views is why you would want to stay in this property. Absolutely stunning sunset. Overall property is very good. Bedding was not as comfortable as you get in hotels and hosts definitely need to work on it. Too soft mattress with squeaking frame made our sleep a bit uncomfortable. We had this issue with two of the queen bedrooms. King one was fine. Also, driveway to this property is quite steep downhill. 1st time it was scary as there is no way you can see anything from your car windshield. Later, we figured that out. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the issue we encountered during our stay. Water heater went bad and we were left with cold showers. Could this be prevented? Possibly yes, with regular preventive maintenance and proactive replacement of such critical utility item in the home. The evening we checked in, we sensed something was not right as the water had some sort of weird smell but we had no clue it's because of failing water heater. However, hosts responded promptly and offered us all the options like refund or moving to their other property. So, full marks for the great customer service. We chose to move to their other property, which caused a lot of inconvenience but we were happy that the new property was also very good in all aspects other than the views. We missed the amazing serene views of this location Overall, we had a great time and we will consider staying with Magnolia vacations again.
Beautiful home. Lots of room and right on the lake. The walk down to the lake could have been better. The thorns/weeds are overtaken the steps and it’s grown up and the dock isn’t connected but we don’t let it stop us. We enjoyed swimming and fishing each day
