The Space:

Sterling Sands Unit #407 is a nicely updated fourth floor unit with amazing gulf and pool views from a private balcony. You will love this unit from sunrise to sunset daily from your private balcony accessible from the living room! The living room also offers a nice sofa sleeper and a matching loveseat, well-coordinated coastal furnishings, and a large TV with DVD player. The dining area offers seating for four. There are three bar stools at the breakfast bar for plenty of seating. The kitchen has upscale granite counters, full-size appliances, and all the housewares needed to make meals at home.



The primary bedroom offers a calm retreat with a nice king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The second bedroom offers a nice twin over full bunk bed with cozy bedding. There is a second bathroom next to the guest bedroom with a a shower/tub combo. Enjoy the convenience of a private washer and dryer during your stay tucked away into a closet in the hall.



Things to Know

This unit has a max occupancy, including children. These are rules set by the State of Florida and the State of Florida Fire Codes. The Fire Codes go by square footage and not the beds in a unit. If you arrive with more than the max occupancy listed, the HOA will not allow you to check-in and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Place was clean when we first arrived but then noticed dead and live roaches by the fridge, living and room with the bunk beds. Only noticed 2 live ones. View was SPECTACULAR !!! Because it’s an HOA the rules for the beach are very strict ! We loaded up our tent and chairs just to not be able to use the tent. With an infant that was disappointing. We would love to come back if a few things were fixed.

Although Destin was beautiful, I am a bit dissatisfied with my stay. For the sake of saving space I will list my issues. 1. Entire property is non-smoking including beach and balconies. Listing not advertised as such. It was listed as a non-smoking room which is fine but expecting customers to completely leave the property to smoke/vape is crazy with signs posted everywhere to call security if you even smell smoke?! What?! I mean if you want smoke free property that's fine but clearly advertise that.2. Had the audacity to ask to allow a realtor to show the condo in the nisdle of the day during my stay. 3. Had pest control letting themselves in the condo while my family (3 toddlers, wife, and myself) were taking a nap. This means pest control was entering my passcode mind you. 4. I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed in the master bedroom. The bed literally sloped off both sides and sloped down at the head.5. Attempted the couch pull out bed... even worse.6. TV in master bedroom did not work AT ALL.7. No remote to TV in the other bedroom. Had to use roku remote app on my phone. 8. And to beat it all I pay almost 2000 to stay here all to find out I have to pay and extra 55 per day for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella but cannot use my own umbrella and if I wanted to use my own chairs I had to sit BEHIND all of the condos' chairs and umbrellas.I say all of this to say I will give my stay 2 stars.

Everyone we encountered was cordial and professional. Especially the service supervisor who greeted us upon arrival (whose name escapes me now). He helped take our luggage to our suit, replaced blown bulbs & familiarized us with the immediate area. The faucet in the main shower leaked and was promptly repaired. The property was clean. The pool/beach view was great. My companions were not able to enter the sea due to water temperature and heavy tides but enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi etc. Parking was convenient. Overall, we had an enjoyable vacation, but next time we'll chose a property where we can use our own umbrella & chairs at beach side.

The condo was nice. Some things needed fixing but nothing that affected our stay. The location was perfect. Views from balcony were amazing. Pool was nice and clean. Beach was beautiful. The only difficulty we had was that we arrived after the office closed so did not have parking pass, bracelets or codes for pool/beach. The security guard was very helpful and told us what to do for the night. We did have a code for the condo and had no problems getting in. Overall it was lovely stay and we will definitely stay again.
