Loved this beautiful home. Great location to downtown and family. Just a suggestion that soap in showers would have been nice for travelers. Otherwise want to stay here every time we visit family one block away. Also loved the gardens. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us.

The property is great. Close to downtown Bastrop and easy access to the highway. The house has so many things to explore and full of history. Loved reading the old cookbooks and exploring the gardens.
WOW!!! What a great home. Easy walk to downtown restaurants and bars. Easy access to Bastrop River Company for kayaking. The backyard is tranquil, the interior is inviting and comfortable. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are clean. I intend to return many times.

We came to Bastrop for the F1 race in Austin. Stayed at the main house (there is a cottage as well which we stayer at least time). It was very spatious and convenient to a nice downtown area. The house is 'historical' but does the job. It's well maintained, has a nice screened balcony area, and we had ample room.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us during the F1 race in Austin! We're thrilled to hear that you found the main house spacious and convenient, especially with the added bonus of a nice downtown area nearby. It's great to know that the historical charm of the house, along with the well-maintained features and the screened balcony area, contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Although the property could use some basic maintenance, it was clean and we appreciated its history. The fourth bed, which is why we chose the property, was a daybed with no real mattress or bedding. The location was great and we walked downtown to eat and shop.
