About this property
A3+1 - One Bedroom Apartment, Sleeps 4
This Villa is located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, between the mouth of the Mirna River (to the north) and Lim Fjord (to the south). With its gentle climate, indented coastline with many small islands, peninsulas thick with pine trees, and beautiful beaches sheltered from the sea by the island of St. Nikola, Poreč has become a leading center of Croatian tourism, developing from a small fishing village to become an attractive tourist hub. The apartments are located 30 minutes (on foot) from the seashore. A grocery store and several restaurants are also in the vicinity while the town center is about 20 minutes away (on foot).
This ground-floor apartment has an area of about 35 m2 and is suitable for three persons. There is one bedroom furnished with a double and 1 single bed. There is the option for one additional person to sleep on the sofa in the dining/living room. The nicely furnished living room has a satellite television and dining area. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances such as a cooker and refrigerator as well as sufficient cutlery and utensils. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. Each apartment has an air-conditioner and balcony.
Once an important Roman town and harbor, Poreč was subsequently conquered by the Byzantines and Venetians. Today it is one of the most integral Istrian towns and is well worth visiting. Poreč is the center of the largest holiday area in Istria and is known as the Riviera of Istria. Aside from the great tourist influence, Poreč has retained its traditional culture and town spirit. The rich tourist tradition and attractive hotels, modern tourist complexes, green forests and Mediterranean vegetation are just some of the reasons for the continued tourist development. A haven for international tourists and athletes, it has a good variety of nightlife including discotheques, bars and dance clubs. A visit to the old part of town, with its important cultural and historical sights including the Euphrasian Basilica (under the protection of UNESCO), is a must. Here you will also find some interesting archaeological remains which bear witness to the population density of the area even in prehistoric times. The remains of forums and temples reveal the importance of the Roman presence in the area. In Poreč you can sense the old spirits and discover traces of great cultures visible on every step of the old town and narrow streets. From Poreč you can take excursions to Rovinj, which has been a cultural monument since 1963, or to the Limski Channel. By boat you can visit the Brijuni Islands National Park or Pula and Medulin, both well-known tourist resorts. Here you will also find the Peninsula Cape, a large and protected natural area.
The little village of Vrvari lies 2 km north of Poreč. Leave the A9 in the village of Bonaci and travel in the direction of Poreč. When you reach Vrvari, turn right onto Školska Street, and after 100 meters turn left onto Ladonja Street.
