Two bedrooms with box-spring beds and ample closet space for your holiday wardrobe are available. Across the hall are a small guest bathroom and the wellness bathroom with a sauna and a large shower area. The heart of this ground-floor apartment is the spacious living/dining area with an open kitchen and access to the terrace, which offers an excellent view of the sunset. The kitchen is fully equipped and, of course, features a dishwasher and a microwave. Reclining chairs and a sofa set invite you to enjoy a game night, a good book, or a TV series marathon. An electric fireplace, stereo system, smart TV, and Wi-Fi are all standard features in this high-end property, as are a parking space and a lockable storage area for your bicycles.

Just a few minutes’ drive away, slightly off the beaten track from the tourist hotspots of Willingen and Winterberg, lies the small village of Heringhausen, nestled in the midst of a lush green nature area and right on the beautiful Diemelsee.
Whether you’re seeking peace and quiet, looking for an active holiday, or travelling with the whole family, you’ll experience breathtaking views and unspoiled nature on certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycling routes.
For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity. Heringhausen and Lake Diemel are still (!) considered hidden gems.

I had a super relaxing weekend with my friends—enjoying the sauna, hiking, and just taking our time. We were very satisfied and are happy to recommend it to others. The size of the apartment is perfect for 3–4 people. Everything we needed was there. Our only minor criticism is that we thought it was a shame there were extra charges for some items, such as towels and bed linens.

We’ve now spent three holidays at the Diemelsee Holiday Park and have always thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Especially when the weather outside is unpleasant and “grey,” we really look forward to the sauna!

The only thing that could be improved was the cleanliness of the property upon arrival. The floors were not clean (kitchen and entryway), and there was still dust, hair, and toothpaste in the sinks.
