TVs in the living and sleeping areas are standard, as are Wi-Fi, a stereo system, books, games, and a travel cot.
Really great(!)… The outbuilding offers the perfect place to store bicycles or ski gear. There’s even an automatic shoe warmer here. That way, you can head back out onto the cross-country ski trail or go hiking the next day with dry and cosy warm feet.
The parking space, including a free electric charging station, is reserved for you right outside the front door.

Just a few minutes’ drive away, a bit off the beaten track from the tourist hotspots of Willingen and Winterberg, lies the little village of Heringhausen, nestled in the midst of a lush green natural area and right on the beautiful Lake Diemel. Whether you’re seeking peace and quiet, looking for an active holiday, or travelling with the whole family, you’ll experience breathtaking views and unspoiled nature on certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycling routes. For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity. The Fort Fun Adventure Park in Bestwig, Winterberg, Berleburg Castle, and Willingen—a town known far beyond the state borders for its lively nightlife—are also nearby. Heringhausen and the Diemelsee Holiday Village are still (!) considered absolute hidden gems in the region. However, the local tourist information centre has already undergone an extensive renovation and offers its guests—in addition to the super-friendly and helpful staff—an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent wellness and sauna area, as well as an interactive exhibition about Lake Diemelsee.
