About the host

We moved to Galveston from Houston in 2021. We are just a local family enjoying life here on the island. We bought this house in 2018, restored it, moved in and lived in it for 4 years. We loved living in this house so much that when we decided to move, we didn't want to sell it. We have loved learning about the history of Galveston and decided we'd love to share a bit of Galveston's charm and history with others.

Why they chose this property

Our home is located in the San Jacinto/Lost Bayou Historic District. We love the character of the historic homes in the neighborhood. We love that its only 6 blocks from the beach and close to the Strand.

What makes this property unique

This house has been through a lot! She was built in 1886 and is a 1900 Storm Survivor. You get to experience the best of both worlds being in a historic home that has all the modern amenities.
