This house was incredible, full of small touches that showed a deep dedication to the guest experience. My wife and I spent our wedding night here and we’ll definitely be back for our anniversary. I cannot recommend this house strongly enough!
We loved this property and it felt a little like our granny’s house in Magee, which is still in the family. We had a great visit, beds were comfortable Gwen was a great host and recommended Larke Powell , who made the best chicken salad . Only three stayed but we had more to come visit for a cousin reunion. It was just perfect.
Fabulous home. The old Southern charm of a craftsman home is the best. What a great visit. My first time booking a vacation home like this and Gwen was the best at everything. Do not hesitate if this is available for the date you're looking for. This started my vacation in the best way. Thank you Gwen.
Gwen is an exceptional hostess. Her cottage is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the homemade bread and coffee station. Highly recommend it!

Dale, it was great to host you and your family. And to talk about “old times at JCJC!” I hope y’all stop through next time you are down south!!! I wish I could take credit for the sour dough bread!! ❤️
This was an excellent stay! Gwen, the host communicated wonderfully and made us feel right at home. The home itself is a historic beauty! It was so charming to sit with our coffee in the morning in the sun room and watch the squirrels and birds. Mt. Olive is a peaceful little community and I cannot recommend this place enough to rest your head and take a slow southern minute to unwind. Thank you Gwen for sharing your little piece of heaven!

Lora, I never dreamed guests would enjoy this house as much as we do. It just "hugs" you. I'm excited to continue to try to make every stay perfect for our guests! Thanks, Gwen
We needed to stop on our way to Florida and Gwen’s home was absolutely amazing. The home was very clean and full of amenities. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch to bird watch in the morning. The gift of bread was also a great surprise! Highly recommend staying here whether it’s for a night or an extended stay!

So glad you enjoyed the porch sitting and the sour dough bread-both seem to soothe the soul! Hope you will stay with us again when traveling through Mississippi. Come back any time!
This property was perfect for our family while we were in town for a baseball tournament. It was just 10 minutes from the fields in Magee. It was clean, and in a quiet little neighborhood. Beds were comfortable and the host left some yummy sourdough from a local bakery and some snacks- an unexpected surprise! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the squirrels and listening to the birds early in the morning. Highly recommend the Magnolia House!

I’m glad you enjoyed the fresh bread and the porch. Y’all were great guests! Come back any time.
I worked in college student affairs for years and have always enjoyed helping people. I'm so excited to offer our home as a respite for weary travels and the opportunity to drink morning coffee on a front porch swing. Although we have all the technology that guests need, our guests seem to enjoy the slower pace for a moment in time.
Why they chose this property
I've owned this home for 40 years. It's a classic Craftsman Home that was built in 1900. We have updated but preserved the soul of this house. My family loves spending time here and we hope that sharing the house with others preserves it into the future.
What makes this property unique
It's located on one of the oldest boulevards in Mississippi in a very small town that still reminds us of "how life was years ago." The architecture includes a wrap around porch that allows guests to simply relax. The original claw foot tub is perfect for a soaking bath. With great wifi, a beautiful working office, and all the modern conveniences, it gives guests a moment to reflect, rest, and enjoy.
