High-quality, thoughtfully designed, and furnished with many amenities that make for a well-deserved getaway in every way, the IRENE holiday home at Diemelblick 16 feels just right from the moment you arrive.
The private parking space is located right next to the property. From the entryway, on the lower level of the house, you can access the guest bathroom, one of the three bedrooms, the living/dining area with an open kitchen, and the terrace.
The open living area is designed with great attention to detail. There’s even an electric fireplace here. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of Lake Diemel and the hills of the Sauerland region.
The kitchen area is superbly equipped to cater to up to 6 people. With a freezer, microwave, egg cooker, and more, they’ve really thought of everything here.
Meals can be enjoyed either at the dining table or outside on the terrace. The youngest guests will appreciate the high chair. Comfortable armchairs and a sofa are available for game nights or TV evenings. Wi-Fi is standard in this property.
Up a flight of stairs, you’ll find the spacious wellness bathroom with a private sauna, shower area, and bathtub, as well as two additional bedrooms. Both are, of course—just like the ones on the ground floor—equipped with ample storage space for your holiday wardrobe, a Smart TV, and wonderfully comfortable box-spring beds. In addition, each bedroom features blackout pleated blinds. One of the two bedrooms even offers direct access to the rooftop terrace, which, by the way, can also be reached via an outdoor staircase. Garden furniture and a patio umbrella are provided.
If you’ve packed your own bicycles or sports equipment, you’ll appreciate the lockable storage area. Bed linens and towels can be booked as add-ons for a fee.
The “FERIENHAUS IRENE” is located in the lower part of the Diemelsee holiday village. This means short walks to the lake and ideal starting points for bike rides or hikes, no matter the season. - Welcome to the QUARTIERFREUND family!

For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity.
The Fort Fun Adventure Park in Bestwig, Winterberg, Berleburg Castle, and Willingen—a town known far beyond the state borders for its lively nightlife—are also nearby.
Heringhausen and the Diemelsee holiday village are still (!) considered absolute hidden gems in the region. However, the local tourist information centre has already undergone an extensive renovation and offers its guests—in addition to its super-friendly and helpful staff—an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent wellness and sauna area, as well as an interactive exhibition about Lake Diemelsee.

The house is very stylishly furnished with great colours. The sauna is the icing on the cake, and the view is beautiful.
