Baltic Sea - Romance. Vacation home / vacation apartment near Scharbeutz and Eutin with alpacas

Feel right at home in this cosy holiday home—a romantic cottage dating back to 1812, now with alpacas “in our own garden” and, as of recently, two foals ❤️

This beautiful holiday home with its own garden is located in the heart of Holstein Switzerland and offers living space of 92 m² for up to four adults. For the past few years, our alpacas have been part of the family, and you can see them directly from the garden or the bedroom window. Upon request, various animal encounter experiences can be booked as add-ons. Alpacas help us slow down, find peace, and can be especially helpful in navigating difficult life phases.

When renovating this old cottage, we tried to preserve its historic character and charm while still adding a modern touch.

You’ll find all kinds of shopping options just four kilometres away in Eutin, the “City of Roses.” The beaches and enchanting Baltic Sea resorts of Haffkrug and Scharbeutz are a ten-minute drive away, and Timmendorfer Strand and Neustadt are also nearby. The Hanseatic city of Lübeck is about a 25-minute drive away, while Kiel is about 45 minutes away. A trip to Hamburg takes about an hour.

The holiday cottage is very lovingly and personally furnished and features a bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher) with a dining area, a living room with a fireplace and TV, and two separate bedrooms—one on the ground floor (with a 1.80-meter bed) and one on the upper floor (with 0.90-meter beds). A slightly narrower wooden staircase with a railing leads upstairs.

A private garden is also available! Garden furniture, Wi-Fi, bed linens, and towels are, of course, included. We can also provide a travel cot and a high chair upon request.

GOOD TO KNOW❗️
We bill heating costs based on actual usage (we currently charge 0.9 ct/kWs).
The washing machine and dryer can be used by prior arrangement, and we also provide an ironing board and iron upon request.
For New Year’s Eve guests: Due to the thatched roof, fireworks and firecrackers may not be set off here. We hope for your understanding!
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed here.
Please arrive between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM if possible (exceptions are, of course, possible by arrangement!). Please check out by 11:30 AM; if you’re checking back in on the same day, please check out by 10:00 AM.
