What was once a chicken coop—hence the name “Le Coq”—has been transformed into a beautiful gem in the garden of the Jacobshof, featuring its own terrace and a small lawn for sunbathing, surrounded by beech hedges. The sauna is a special highlight. The living area features a modern kitchenette with numerous kitchen appliances (electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, electric kettle, hand mixer), a cosy sitting area with a historic cast-iron tiled stove, a bookshelf, a CD player, a flat-screen TV, a dining table, and two lounge chairs. The separate bathroom and shower room are located in the entryway. On the ground floor, behind a gallery with seating and a desk, are the two bedrooms, one behind the other. The furnishings and decor form a successful combination of country house style and antiques. In addition, guests have access to the entire garden, which features various seating areas, a barbecue corner, a Hollywood swing, and a ping-pong table.
Guests with limited mobility or with a small child should please note that a steep, open staircase leads to the ground floor!
The Jacobshof is situated on a 3,500-square-meter property, surrounded by several old farmsteads in Oberstedem. The large garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities; cosy nooks invite you to relax, and there is a barbecue area, with garden furniture and umbrellas available. In case of bad weather, there are plenty of games and books available; the Eifelblick holiday apartment has its own library with several hundred titles ranging from novels and crime thrillers to literature about the Eifel, art, and history. The Le Coq holiday home also features its own sauna.
