This wonderful retreat features three cozy bedrooms with a queen, king, and 2 twin beds (one with a trundle), plus two additional spaces—a living room and a loft—each with sleeping accommodations. Guests enjoy two full bathrooms both featuring heated tile flooring, one with a relaxing bathtub/shower combo and the other with a handicap accessible shower with seat. The cottage stays comfortable year-round with specialized central heating and air conditioning. Whether you’re unwinding in the spacious living areas or catching up on work in the office, this superb spot offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The cottage was perfectly set up for a vacation with no worries. Clean and all the extras for anything you might need. Host communicated well about arrival instructions and helped us with finding things to do that were of interest to us. Everyone had a great time from parents to teens to even the dog!

This house Is a perfect getaway. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The host thought of everything to make guests feel at home with many thoughtful amenities. The outside sitting areas are perfect for relaxing. The stream across from the house is easy to get to, you can swim in it and the peaceful sound is a bonus. The host was especially responsive and check-in was smooth. We highly recommend this property.

The property was just as described. it is a beautiful home. The design was totally thought out with very good attention to detail. The house was super clean and very organized. Bed was comfortable shower and bathroom were great. All the little extras that the host provides are very sweet and meaningful. The host is very responsive with any questions you have. You can hear the stream when sitting outside which is so peaceful. We stay in vacation rentals multiple times a year and this was definitely one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the Berkshires.

The cottage is adorable and clean. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. You can hear the sound of the stream when you are sitting on the deck. It’s very peaceful there! The host, Libby answered my questions right away! We would definitely go back!

Hi there! We are the Begin Family, and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to The Cottage at Quill Hollow.

While our primary home and family farm are located about an hour away in Suffield, CT, the Berkshires have always held a deeply special place in our hearts. With a passion for hands-on projects, renovating this cottage into a clean, modern farmhouse retreat has been a true labor of love for us.

When we aren’t hosting, our lives are beautifully busy running our homestead, which is filled with large-scale gardens, chickens, ducks, and our three mischievous resident goats—Honey, Twinkle, and Pepper. On any given weekend, you can usually find us baking sourdough, preserving homemade artisanal jams, or out in nature exploring.

We fell in love with Middlefield for its raw, untouched beauty and the rare chance it offers to truly unplug from the noise of everyday life. We wanted to create a space where families and friends could gather to experience that same magic, whether that means hiking to nearby waterfalls in the summer or hitting the ski slopes in the winter.

This cottage is our peaceful escape, and we hope it becomes yours, too. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we hope you make unforgettable memories during your time in the hills!
