The property sits on land that includes the town`s namesake rock stream, two ponds, and a partial view of Seneca Lake. A large fenced yard makes it ideal for children and dogs.

Our family of eight truly enjoyed our stay at this property! The home was spacious, clean, and charming. It is clearly evident that the owners have put a lot of hard work into renovating the entire interior. They managed to maintain the character of the home while also modernizing it for today's travelers. The beds were comfortable and the portable air-conditioning units cooled the rooms well. All of the bedrooms were equipped with fire extinguishers and rescue ladders. The home is set close to the road, and the traffic was a bit noisy at night, but each of the bedrooms had a bedside noise machine which did help. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cooking essentials. There were plenty of board games and puzzles for family fun. The back deck with grill and seating, fenced-in backyard, and firepit area allowed us to enjoy the outdoors. The home did not have a view of the lake. That was not our primary reason for renting, so we were not disappointed, but if you are looking for a lake view, you won't get one. The communication with the host was quick and easy. We did have an issue with one smoke detector dying (it scared the children, but everyone recovered), one toilet clogging (a plunger in at least one of the bathrooms would be helpful), and slipping in the primary bathroom shower (a textured shower basin or shower mat would help). All in all, the property exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely recommend it and stay there again!

Hi! Thank you for the great review! :). We will be adding items you suggested. Lake views are there but some parts of the year less clear. Also that road was a little busier than normal due to an event in Watkins glen. I will add these clarifications to the listing. Hope to have you back and have a great day! 😃

The Seneca Lake Farmhouse was very clean and had plenty of room. There seemed to be everything we might need. We didn't do any cooking, so I don't know about the cooking implements or pans. The location was great for visiting the area and wineries.
