In the heart of Emden’s Old Town, the historic Stadthuuske welcomes its guests between the Emden canals and the Delft River. The historic city wall, serving as an inner-city recreational area featuring the historic Frau Johanna Mill and the Kesselschleuse lock, is within walking distance of the hotel, as are the Rosentief and the “Neue Kirche” (New Church) from 1648.
In the opposite direction, the path leads along the Delft River—past the museum ships and the State Museum—through City Hall and straight into downtown. After long walks, museum visits, or a trip to the weekly market, the house offers the ideal space for relaxation and “een moi Tass Tee.”
Spanning two floors, guests will find the “Stadthuuske boven” vacation apartment.
On the first floor is the bright and spacious living room with a TV and the “house library” for cozy evenings spent reading.
Facing the courtyard, the kitchen-diner with a balcony offers great opportunities for cooking together or enjoying breakfast in the morning sun. The two spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed and a great view of downtown Emden, are located in the attic. The house’s bathroom with a bathtub is situated between the two bedrooms.
The bathroom was completely renovated in 2022 and has been shining with a fresh, modern look ever since.
Bicycles can be safely parked in the secluded courtyard. Make your vacation one to remember—and visit our Stadthuuske. We look forward to seeing you!
