The Artist Studio is a historic 1850 home centrally located on Main Street in Stowe Village. This home has been fully renovated and updated, but still maintains that quaint Vermont feel.

New renovated kitchen, and living space are combined into one bright open room.

Bedroom has a queen bed. Living area has a sleeper sofa that pulls out to full size bed.

The 600sq. ft space is better suited for 2 people as it gets tighter when the sofa bed is pulled out for a 3rd, but is perfectly fine for those who don't mind smaller spaces.

We do love dogs, please message about details. PLEASE- no paws on the furniture!

We use all natural, chemical free cleaners, shampoos, conditioners, and soaps.

Great location. Loved being able to walk to all the shops and to Sunset Rock. The condo was very nice. It had everything needed for a nice and comfortable stay in Stowe. Also loved the Stowe Recreation path.

Stayed here with my mom and her dog it was the perfect location and spot for us. The host is very responsive and helpful. They even left dog treats in the house! But truly the location of this could not be better. Just a walk downtown and a stones throw away from a supermarket! Would definitely stay again!

Great location, very close to downtown, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Home is historic with no access to temperature control for AC. There is a fan and opening the windows helps. Owner says to message and he can control temperature remotely but fan and windows worked for us luckily there was a cold front. Floors could have been swept better, had to sweep upon arrival and clean off toaster crumbs from kitchen counter. Bathroom gets very warm and stale smells due to door closing unless you prop it open to circulate air.

Booked for two nights, left after one. Pros:Great location, laundry facilities available in basement, plenty of towels and extra sheets, designated parking spot. Cons:Air conditioning controlled remotely by owner- you have to message him to have him adjust the air. Bedroom and bathroom felt like sauna even with the a/c on (see mentions of this in previous reviews). There are two water heaters - one tank and one tankless - in a utility closet in the bathroom from which you can feel heat emanating. This bathroom is directly off the bedroom. Opening the windows in the bathroom and bedroom didn’t cool the bedroom down enough for us even on a night with outdoor temperatures in the 50s and the a/c running. Pillows and bed smelled old, even with clean sheets which smelled strongly of scented laundry detergent and/or Febreze. The bed was lumpy. The mattress pad on the bedroom mattress and 3 of the 5 pillows were stained yellow with body oil. 1 pillow was decent and the last one had a small dark brown/red stain. Was hoping for a clean, comfortable spot to sleep (we knew we’d hardly be there) but this didn’t meet those needs for us. The uncomfortable temperature that we could not directly control exacerbated by heat sources within the unit (hot water heaters) and bed/bedding led to a rough sleep and outweighed the pros of this unit, so we spent our first morning in Stowe finding other accommodations and left after the 1st night.

This guest pulled electrical boxes out of the wall purposely during their stay, made no mention of any issues on night 1 of their stay other than asking to turn the AC down to 63 degrees (it was 56 degrees outside), then threatened a horrible review like the one she just wrote in order to pressure me to give her a refund at 11:44am on her 2nd day - which is after 11:00am check out time and therefore against VRBO policy for this guest to make that request. Hosts should be able to expect Guests to not damage their property and not extort them with bad reviews that inaccurately describe the condition of the property - this Guest failed those basic tests. VRBO Customer Service agreed and therefore this Guest did not receive their money back as they attempted to - and therefore this Guest did act on their threat to leave a bad review if they did not receive a refund by leaving this review. 0/10 rating for this Guest - truly a VRBO Host’s worst nightmare
