About this property

A cozy studio in a duplex far off the road. Near national park and mineral spas

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Whether you’re coming out for an event, festival, celebration or just need a break, Shangri La is just the place!

Desert Hot Springs features world-renowned, naturally mineral water from underground aquifers. With its high silica, sulfate, and magnesium, the water is silky, odorless, and therapeutic. Close to Palm Springs, Pioneertown and Joshua Tree. Must check out Pappy and Harriet’s. More than 50 films and tv shows shot there.

The space
This is a very charming unique property that gives cabin vibes and makes you feel like you are at a retreat in the wilderness. The unit is far from the road and extremely quiet. Perfect for meditation, relaxing, or star gazing. Enjoy quiet mornings on the patio with tea, coffee or an espresso. We have a small kitchen with all the basics. There’s a cute private small backyard as well. This is a really great space for one or two people. Pets are welcome! High speed internet, printer and a nice big tv are available for your stay. There is a permanent queen bed in the studio and a folding frame and folding twin mattress that can be brought out from the closet to use as a second bed.

We’re featuring some furniture at the property that was owned previously by famous actress Jill St. John, starring in 007 Diamonds Are Forever, Bond Girls Are Forever, and Paranormal Activity to name just a few.

Guest access
Unit 3, a studio, private backyard, front porch with bistro, entire front space up to gate. Gazebo and large outdoor table. Great restaurants (with delicious menu items and lower prices than Palm Springs) and mineral spas nearby.
