Little Apple Cabin with Wood Stove, King Bed & 5 Private Wooded Acres
Little Apple Cabin is a private 500 sq. ft. cabin on five wooded acres in Appleton, Maine. It was designed for guests who want real quiet, deep sleep, and simple time in nature without sacrificing comfort.
This is not a party cabin or a social hub. It's a place to slow down, read, stargaze, build a fire, and actually rest.
THE CABIN The main level has a king bed with a Purple mattress and Brooklinen linens, a wood-burning stove, a mini-split for heat and air conditioning, and a compact fully-equipped kitchen. A loft above the main level fits a queen bed and is best for kids or close friends traveling together. The cabin is 16 x 24 feet with a 16 x 8 foot loft, totaling about 512 sq. ft. of living space. It's cozy without feeling cramped, and every inch is thought through.
Bedroom: King bed, Purple mattress, Brooklinen linens, room-darkening shades
Loft: Queen bed (accessible by ladder, best for agile guests) Bathroom: Full bath with shower and bidet
Kitchen: Full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and everything needed for simple meals
Climate: Wood-burning stove plus mini-split for heat and AC year-round
Connectivity: Fast Wi-Fi (106 Mbps), dedicated workspace, smart TV
OUTSIDE The wrap-around cedar deck is one of the best features of the property. It has a pergola, dining table, and lounge seating, good for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or evening stargazing.
On clear nights, the sky here is exceptional. No light pollution, no neighbors visible, just trees and stars.
There's a fire pit area with kiln-dried firewood provided. The five wooded acres give you genuine privacy and room to wander.
THE SETTING LAC is flanked by two working farms. You may hear goats, sheep, cows, and chickens -- and if you're lucky, you'll spot the semi-wild peacocks that roam between properties. They started from one pair and have since multiplied. Fair warning: if you hear what sounds like a child yelling, it's the peacocks.
The area feels remote and peaceful while staying well-connected to the Maine coast: - Camden and Rockland: about 25 minutes - Belfast: about 30 minutes
Hiking, lighthouses, seafood, galleries, and scenic drives all within easy reach
GOOD TO KNOW Two cabins share a driveway on the property. They are visually separated by an 8-foot cedar privacy fence and each has its own fully private outdoor space. Guests describe the setting as quiet and private.
This is a rural property. Sound travels differently here than in town. Occasional distant farm sounds are part of the experience, but most of the time it is genuinely silent.
Wi-Fi is reliable for streaming and remote work. Brief interruptions can happen during storms. If you need uninterrupted all-day video conferencing, bring a backup hotspot.
Self check-in via smartlock. Check-in after 2 PM, checkout by 11 AM. Maximum 3 guests. No parties or events.
