About the host
Hosted by Sam Neighbors
My wife and I are originally from Oklahoma. We fell in love with Alaska years ago and would visit several times a year. We had an opportunity to purchase this property that already had cabins on it and we knew we just had to jump on it. We run these cabins ourselves along with our boys, and some help from dear friends right down the road. When we're not working on the property or the cabins, we enjoy fishing, being outside in nature, and just exploring everything and everywhere we can.
Why they chose this property
The great location and the beautiful views. The moose that comes through on almost daily basis is pretty neat too. Each spring she usually has a new calf with her.
What makes this property unique
We're in the middle of all the great fishing in the Kenai Peninsula. Minutes away from surf fishing for Halibut, Cod, etc, 25 minutes from salmon fishing on the Kasilof, 35 minutes from salmon fishing on the Kenai, or 40 minutes from the town of Homer. On top of that, our views are amazing, we're secluded, but not in the middle of nowhere, and we're easy to get to.
