We would like to clarify that the guest left immediately after check-in and only notified us of their concerns through the VRBO messaging app after departing. We were not given an opportunity to inspect the unit or attempt to address any concerns before they left. Regarding the reported marijuana odor, we take the cleanliness and comfort of our unit seriously. The odor may have originated from the common hallways or neighboring units, as smoking by other tenants is unfortunately outside of our control. We also want to clarify that comments regarding the building’s common areas, security, and overall property maintenance relate to the larger apartment community and are managed by the property management, not by us as individual hosts. We appreciate the positive comments regarding the cleanliness and condition of the apartment itself.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the stay. Our house rules clearly state, as one of the first rules, that **no more than six guests are permitted in the condo and parties are strictly prohibited**. Prior to the stay, the guest contacted us through the messaging platform specifically requesting additional guests. We explained our occupancy policy and informed them that guests beyond four would be subject to an additional fee. As a courtesy, we offered a discounted rate of $25 per additional guest, compared with our standard $50 per-person fee. Despite this conversation and the rules being clearly communicated in advance, we received complaints from neighbors regarding the large number of people gathering at the property. After investigating and reviewing our security footage, we confirmed that more than 12 individuals were inside the condo, significantly exceeding the maximum occupancy and violating our no-party policy. Because these violations were confirmed, we were required to enforce the property's stated policy and have the guests vacate immediately. This decision was based solely on the documented occupancy and party violations. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all guests and neighbors and apply our house rules consistently to protect the property and surrounding community.
