Our stay was exceptional! So much love and detailed thought was put into this home, from the large windows, beautiful furnishings and fireplace to the towel warmer in the bathroom. Thank you, Melissa, for all your warm welcomes to our whole family, including our dog and the thoughtful bottle of champagne! We will be back!

Thank you so much, Dena! I only wished you’d stayed longer. I’d love to have you back and very much appreciate your quick replies and ETA’s. When your family is back this way chasing the weather, try to book on a snowy day and see what it feels like to live inside the snow globe. See you again soon!

This house was far more than was advertised. Everything inside was well thought out, decorated beautifully, and extremely comfortable. The views from all windows made us feel on vacation from day one. The kitchen was well stocked with high-end appliances and serving wear you would want in your personal home. The upstairs porch was comfortable even in hot days as the shade provided a level of coolness that let us relax up on the swing and sofa. We appreciated the stay!

About the host

I am originally from Selah, Washington and have had the opportunity to live in Oregon, Hawaii, and California. During my travels I grew up wanting to live in a home that I later learned was called an "atelier." In French that means workshop or artist's studio. In architecture, the term describes an open concept living space that blends an airy, expansive feel with a creative, studio-like environment.

After becoming single, I designed a Barndominium which afforded me views from every side of the house; lit paths; and a running water feature...all making me feel safe in my Big-Girl's-Fort!

Why they chose this property

These views!!! I was living in California when I bought the land NEXT to this lot. The views were a dream. It was the middle of winter and the city below just sparkled. I grew up facing east (literally look back towards this home) and now I get to enjoy the sunsets.

What makes this property unique

YoU'rE serious?!?! Haha~ EVERYTHING! The views. Open home where my bedroom is literally an open loft with views of Mount Adams & the tip of Rainier. Not to forget Mount Clemans to the west. Sitting by the firepit, you'll enjoy 4th of July fireworks from the city of Selah AND neighbors in East Selah. Grab a glass of wine and your bestie and just stop talking... Hahaha!
