Pure maritime charm—enjoy your holiday in our newly renovated captain’s house. This semi-detached house is located directly on the recreational boat harbour in Weener, East Frisia, on the Ems River. The captain’s house is built right on the water and offers two holiday apartments. Here you’ll find plenty of nature, harbour charm, and relaxation. Our HafenGlück holiday home offers excellent conditions for water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, anglers, hikers, and nature lovers. Bring your own boat or arrive by boat to avoid traffic jams. You can dock boats up to 10 metres in length directly at the waterfront terrace.
In a beautiful, quiet harbour setting, you can relax wonderfully, listen to the lapping of the water, and watch harbour life unfold. An ideal home away from home for anyone who loves the special atmosphere by the water… yet still wants to stay on land.
The comfortable and brightly furnished holiday apartments “Seegang” (4 people) and “Landgang” (5 people) are equipped with a smart TV, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, a dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace or balcony. Each apartment has one parking space directly at the house.
Both apartments can be booked together to accommodate 9 people (up to 11 people upon request).
The “Seegang” apartment also offers its own boat slip.
A lockable storage shed is available for your bicycles.

Welcome to our cosy and modernly furnished Landgang holiday rental. With its spacious balcony in a quiet cul-de-sac location right next to the Weener recreational boat harbour in East Frisia, it invites you to unwind and relax. Enjoy a beautiful view from the balcony over the harbour facilities all the way to the Ems River dike. From here, you can enjoy a great view of the large cruise ships from the Meyer shipyard being transported from Papenburg to Emden.
The newly renovated Landgang holiday apartment accommodates up to 5 people and is located on the upper and attic floors of the Captain’s House, right on the marina in Weener, East Frisia. The cosy living and dining area, with its adjoining balcony, offers a beautiful view of the harbour. There is a flat-screen TV and a stereo system. The open, fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking together. From here, you can step out onto the large balcony with patio furniture, which is perfect for relaxing and unwinding. On the same floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and a bathroom with a shower. A spiral staircase leads to the two bedrooms in the attic. Here you’ll find a small room with a double bed (1.40 x 2.00 m) and a room with a single bed (0.90 x 2.00 m). Both rooms have flat-screen TVs. The single room features a lovely sitting area with a view of the harbour. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine and dryer.
For our younger guests, we’re happy to provide a travel cot and a high chair upon request.
A parking space is located directly in front of the house.
A lockable storage room for bicycles is available, shared with the Seegang apartment.
The historic harbour and the Ems dike are within walking distance. The historic harbour of Weener is known as a popular film location from the “Frieslandkrimi” series. The town centre, with its historic buildings and numerous shopping opportunities, is located right nearby.
The state-recognized resort town of Weener offers its guests many activities, events, and holiday pleasures all year round. The small shops and charming cafés and restaurants look forward to your visit. The centrally located local history museum provides insights into the cultural history of the Rheiderland region. The Organeum—the centre for organ tourism—is housed in a neo-Gothic villa.
