This was a really great place to stay, especially for a single couple. The highlight is the multilevel seating area. It’s actually three separate spaces, and each one is a very cozy spot to sit and read or just hang out. There is also a deck that with a scenic view out onto a dense forest. The house itself is in great shape, all of the furniture was well-mainted and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with any utensils, cookware, or appliances we needed. I thought being so close to a road might be a problem, but we barely ever heard any cars going by. You’re also really close (literally a 2 minute drive) to a nice winery and a small park along the edge of the lake. Checking in and checking out was also very easy. The only drawback was that, aside from the wineries, there is not a lot nearby, particularly dining options, so you may be better off bringing groceries. But that’s a small trade-off for the peace and quiet. We definitely would recommend staying here.
