Welcome to Chalet Familial GabAdèle, a peaceful retreat made for families, in the heart of nature in the Lanaudière region of Mandeville, Québec.

Our 4-bedroom home sleeps up to 8 adults and 2 children. The sleeping arrangements: two queen beds on the main floor, then upstairs a queen bed, a double bed, and bunk beds — ideal for two families or a multi-generational gathering.

The living spaces are warm and bright: a remote-controlled propane fireplace indoors, a smart TV with Fire Stick and Netflix, and free Wi-Fi. Outside, enjoy the BBQ and our custom-built wood-burning outdoor fireplace for evenings under the stars.

Access to Lac Long is just across the street, so the yard stays safe for children while the lake remains only steps away. Kayaks and paddleboards are provided (life jackets in limited sizes — we recommend bringing your own).

GabAdèle is a place for family relaxation and reconnecting with nature, not a party venue. A security camera is installed at the exterior entrance (none indoors). Pets are not permitted. Outdoor quiet hours begin at 9 p.m.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please put any moved furniture back in place and close all windows. Leave the duvets on the beds; place only sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, and used towels in the bathtub.

Put away all games, indoors and outdoors, and store anything belonging in the garage; lock the garage and return the keys to the entrance hook.

Please leave the chalet as you found it — thank you for helping us welcome the next family just as warmly

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

No parties, events, or extra visitors. Outdoor quiet hours from 9:00 p.m. — this is a calm family and nature retreat.

Lac Long is across the street, not on site. Supervise children at all times; life jackets are limited — please bring your own.

Never leave the outdoor wood fire unattended and fully extinguish it before bed. No fireworks on the property.

We're François and Karine, and Chalet GabAdèle is truly a family project — named after our two kids, Gabriel and Adèle. Both of our families helped bring it to life: my father hand-cut the hemlock wood on one of the interior walls, and Karine's sister and her husband, who own a cabinetry shop nearby, crafted several of the wood details inside. We also hold the Expert Lanaudière certification, so if you're looking for a hidden gem — a trail, a vineyard, a good fishing spot — just message us. We're happy to help you make the most of your stay.

Why they chose this property

Mandeville sits in the countryside of Lanaudière, about 1.5 hours from Montreal, right by Lac Long. We wanted a place where our kids could grow up around lakes and forests — somewhere quiet enough to really unplug, but still close to good food, wineries, and hiking trails when you feel like exploring. It's the kind of area where the pace just slows down the moment you arrive.

This isn't a party chalet — it's a calm, nature-focused retreat for families and small groups of friends. The lake is just across the street, which keeps the yard safe for kids while still giving easy access to kayaks, a paddleboard, and a private beach a few steps away.
