About this property
Sleeps 18 | Hot Tub, Game Room & Creek
🚂✨ Riding the Polar Express in Bryson City this holiday season (Nov 5 to Jan 3)? This home is a perfect pick for families making the trip. Book early, because train dates sell out fast and nearby stays go with them!
The driveway doesn't climb so much as it welcomes - a long, easy paved road that winds down into a green valley, past rolling pasture and stands of trees, until the house comes into view and the whole place opens up around you. No white-knuckle mountain switchbacks here. Just six acres of quiet, the sound of Kirkland Creek rushing along the property's edge, and the Smoky Mountain ridgelines standing watch in every direction. You step out of the car, take a breath, and feel the pace of everything drop by half.
This is Willow Haven - nearly five thousand square feet of winding hallways and unexpected rooms, fully reimagined in 2026 and built to give a big group everything it needs: space to gather, and just as importantly, space to slip away. The upstairs splits into two private suites, each a near-complete home of its own with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a fireplace, and a full kitchen. It's the rare layout that lets two families share a property without ever feeling on top of each other - your own coffee in the morning, your own quiet at night, and a central hallway that connects both sides and spills out onto a large deck with sweeping mountain views whenever you're ready to come back together.
Head downstairs and the energy shifts to pure fun. This level was made for kids and groups: three more bedrooms, a beautifully renovated walk-in shower bathroom, and a game room stocked with video games, board games, a jukebox, and a poker table. The mountain keeps this floor naturally cool through the summer, and when the air turns crisp, a cozy fireplace takes over. It's the kind of space where a rainy afternoon turns into the best part of the trip. But Willow Haven really lives outside. A lighted stone trail winds through the property to charcoal grills, a horseshoe pit, and a stunning stone fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs - the natural gathering spot once the sun goes down and the stars come out. Down at the creek's edge, benches and a footbridge let you sit right above the rushing water. Soak in the hot tub tucked beneath the deck while the mountains glow around you, or claim a swinging chair on the deck above for morning coffee and ridge-to-ridge views. And those six acres of open pasture? Room for football, frisbee, a tree to climb, or just a long, aimless wander.
Seven bedrooms. Five bathrooms. Eighteen guests. One valley that makes the whole world feel far away.
What You'll Love • Two private suites, two private worlds — Upstairs splits into two complete suites, each with two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, fireplace, and full kitchen — perfect for families who want to share the property but keep their own space. • A game room that steals the show — Downstairs comes alive with video games, board games, a jukebox, and a poker table — naturally cool in summer, warmed by a fireplace when it's cold. • A creek you can actually sit beside — Kirkland Creek runs along the property with benches and a footbridge added just for soaking in the sound of rushing water up close. • Outdoor living, everywhere you look — A lighted stone trail, charcoal grills, a horseshoe pit, a stone fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs, a hot tub beneath the deck, and swinging chairs above with ridge-to-ridge views. • Six acres to roam — Open pasture for football, frisbee, tree climbing, or simply wandering — rare breathing room for a group this size. • An arrival without the white knuckles — Easy paved roads and a long, welcoming driveway with plenty of room for vehicles of every size. No mountain-cliff driving required. • Minutes from town, deep in the quiet — Five minutes to downtown Bryson City and Darnell Farms, six to the Smoky Mountains Railroad, with Deep Creek, Cherokee, the national park, and the Nantahala Outdoor Center all within easy reach.

⚠️ Please Note – Lower Level / Basement: The lower level of this property does not have a traditional heating or air conditioning system. However, as the space is built into the side of a mountain, it naturally maintains a comfortable temperature year-round. For additional comfort, the lower level is equipped with fans, portable heaters, and a dehumidifier.
✹ Mountain Living: One of the best parts of staying in the mountains is being surrounded by nature! You may occasionally see wildlife or insects such as deer, bears, wild turkeys, spiders, ladybugs, or other native mountain critters. While we regularly treat and maintain the property, these occasional visitors are simply part of the mountain experience.
💧 A Note About Your Water You may notice that the water at Willow Haven appears slightly off in color. This is completely normal and is due to natural minerals in the water supply. The water is safe to drink and use throughout your stay. (Note: A whole house filtration system is currently being installed.) Features Description The moment you reach the end of the driveway, you'll understand why this valley is special — the open pasture, the rush of Kirkland Creek, and the Smoky Mountain ridgelines all around. 🎮 Downstairs — Kids & Groups. The lower level is a haven for kids and groups: three bedrooms, a beautifully renovated walk-in shower bathroom, and a game room stocked with video games, board games, a jukebox, and a poker table. What makes this property unique
Willow Haven was reimagined from the ground up in 2026 with one goal: to make a large group feel completely at home without anyone feeling crowded. The two upstairs suites each function as their own private home — bedrooms, baths, living room, fireplace, and a full kitchen apiece — so two families can travel together and still wake up to their own coffee and their own quiet.
The setting is the other half of the magic. Nearly six acres of pasture, woodland, and creek frontage mean there's always somewhere to go: a quiet bench by Kirkland Creek, a swinging chair on the deck with ridge-to-ridge views, or the wide-open field for a game of football. And because the roads in are easy and paved, getting here feels like an arrival, not an expedition.
We've tried to think of every convenience to make your stay feel as welcoming and stress-free as your own home. Each kitchen is fully stocked with the cooking tools, appliances, and serveware to host the perfect family dinner, and every morning starts at a fully stocked coffee station — best enjoyed from a swinging chair on the deck, looking out over the Great Smoky Mountains.
