Ferien am Roten Haus

This beautiful, cosy holiday rental is located just a few steps from the centre of the small town of Buckow, in the heart of Märkische Schweiz. In this scenic area, there are hiking trails along the lakes and through gorges, which are called “Kehlen” in Märkische Schweiz. Special vintage elements were incorporated into the design when the top floor of this brick house was converted into a holiday rental. The building, including the top floor, was constructed sustainably and ecologically using clay plaster, clay paints, and recycled building materials. The holiday rental is situated in a very quiet spot at the back of the property’s garden, offering unobstructed views of the mountains of Märkische Schweiz as well as the garden itself. A separate, artistically designed outdoor staircase leads up to the spacious terrace of the attic apartment. There is plenty of garden furniture. The terrace leads directly into the holiday apartment, which is bright and spacious thanks to a dormer window with large panes. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking. The tableware comes from the in-house ceramics studio, Christine Pfundt. The hostess’s studio is located within the building complex and is open to visitors. From the holiday rental, shopping, cafés, restaurants, a cinema, and the city park are all just a few minutes away. During the warmer months, there are several places to swim in town. Hiking and biking trails are very close by. The Europaradweg R1 even passes right by the house. In the Kneipp spa town of Buckow (Märkische Schweiz), a visitor’s tax is charged—2 euros per person per night; reduced rate: 0.70 euros per person per night. You must bring your own bed linens, though you can also opt to book them as an add-on. Cost: 8.00 € per person.



Holiday at the Red House:

The bright attic apartment is a combined bedroom and living room with an integrated kitchen area. It is designed for 2 people, but can be arranged to accommodate a third person on a sleeper chair upon request (15 EUR per night). Kitchen amenities and furniture—including for the spacious terrace—are provided in ample quantities. From the small dining area, as well as from the bed, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the garden. Internet access is available. A TV can also be provided upon request. Bedding and towels are included. The apartment features a small bathroom with a shower and its own window. You may use the parking space next to the house. If it gets a bit cooler and you’d like the heat turned on, there is an additional charge of 5 euros per night for heating.



Check-in is available from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and check-out is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
