Het appartement was zeer schoon en bood voldoende ruimte voor ons gezin (4 personen). Genoten van het dakterras dat op een unieke plek gelegen is aan de rustige zijde van de straat. Nooit eerder zo'n overweldigende rots gezien vanaf ons dakterras, echt prachtig en ook eekhoorntjes gespot die liepen tussen het groen vanaf het dakterras. Op een paar honderd meter vanaf het appartement het bruisende centrum van Idar-Oberstein dat een zeer gemoedelijke sfeer heeft en talloze gezellige eettentjes en een mooie marktplaats met een prachtige waterbron. Alles op loopafstand, de rotskerk, een prachtige burcht, edelsteenwinkeltjes, edelsteenmuseum, maar ook de edelsteenbelevenis (grot voor kinderen) evenals het informatie bureau en meerdere supermarkten op loopafstand. Edelsteenmijn en natuur zwembad op een paar kilometer afstand met de auto, ook zeer de moeite waard. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse en een fijne garage waar we onze auto konden stallen. Wij zijn een week geweest in dit appartement, precies tijd genoeg om Idar-Oberstein en omgeving te ontdekken. Zeker een aanrader om hier naartoe te gaan !
