About the host

Hosted by Gaurav Basnet

Host profile image
Hi! We are a family of avid travelers in the Boston area, deeply in love with nature and unique architectural stays. Outside of hosting, we work in IT and stay busy raising our two wonderful kids and our energetic dog!

We created Kathmandu Alpine Lodge as a serene mountain escape where families and friends can connect, explore the outdoors, and make lasting memories. As hands-on hosts, we’re dedicated to giving you a seamless 5-star experience, and we’re always here if you need anything during your stay. We can't wait to host you!"

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this area because it offers the quintessential New Hampshire mountain escape. As a family that loves the outdoors, having direct access to lakes, local swimming holes, ATV trails, and rugged mountain peaks made Haverhill the obvious choice for our A-frame lodge.

One of our favorite things to do is hop in the car and drive the scenic Kancamagus Highway, stopping at waterfalls and scenic overlooks along the way. We created this space so other families and groups of friends could experience that same magic!

What makes this property unique

What makes Kathmandu Alpine Lodge unique is the feeling you get the moment you step inside. The soaring A-frame roof and wooden architecture invoke the spirit of high-country mountain lodges, creating a tranquil sanctuary to unwind after a day of adventure.

Whether you're making breakfast before heading out to the Kancamagus Highway, relaxing in the soaking tub, heading to a nearby ski slope, or sharing stories in the open living space, every detail was crafted to give families and friends a memorable White Mountains experience.
