The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, as are shops and inviting restaurants and cafés in the pedestrian zone along the adjacent promenade. The Ostsee-Therme also offers a welcome change of pace—and not just when the weather is bad. Hansapark in Sierksdorf, the golf course, the Sealife Centre in Timmendorfer Strand, and the bird sanctuary in Niendorf also offer activities to fill your day. You can also explore the surrounding area by bike, whether right by the sea or further inland.
